Won't speak for him but it's likely the same type of gear/build everyone is currently using. I understand why people claim to have 'cleared' inferno, after all they likely beat all of the end bosses for each act. Therefor, they 'won'. It honestly doesn't take nearly as much gear to simply get a waypoint through some gimmick or corpse jumping and defeat the bosses. The bosses are generally the easiest part of the Act. I think most of the more active players in this discussion with above average gear could TP to diablo and beat him if they put in a little time. However, it is a nice goal if that's what you want to do.I'm kind of tired of seeing it. Every diablo discussion site (tl/reddit/d3 specific) are littered with posts "INFERNO CLEARED ON XYZ CLASS HERE IS HOW!" it's really not interesting to me in the slightest. I want to see players reliably and consistently crush through the acts, 5 NV Diablo runs, quickly and efficiently. I want to see how the real 'end game' is being handled, what's working best etc., I guess it's still exciting to some people as the game is still new but I don't consider beating diablo on inferno to be much of a feat.
I know this sounds kind of QQ, I'm just way more interested in a less superficial 'beating' of the game.
(I'm not accusing theSkEncrypt of doing what I'm complaining about just to be clear)
Yep, I know exactly what you're saying, well I've been streaming the majority of the time I've been playing on Inferno solo and have spent many hours on every act wiping and wiping and wiping until I manage to adapt (by changing skill builds, items etc.)
I always try to clear everything I come in contact with, I rarely skip anything and anyone who regularly watches my stream can vouch for that
Also my gear isn'#t too standard, I have:
64k hp 70% all resist 70% armor 16% reduction from melee 17k DMG (unbuffed)
alot of other barbs that I see soloing have incredibly low damage but I have pretty high attack speed due to weapon and rings, also running a near 1k dps 1H which I found myself, my gear also consists of a lot of pieces I crafted myself!
Just to be ultra clear (like in my original post) I wasn't trying to bash you at all!
I know some people have gone full tank with 9k dps but I think if you can get to a level you aren't getting insta-gibbed, some damage is very, very helpful. I have my barb built very similar to your stats actually. I have less HP though and more % reduction from melee, I think that's really the only difference from the stats you listed. I'm actually in the process of building a 'hybrid' 1h/shield with key tank items (SoE/SS/Justice/Kymbos(other LoH neck) but then getting dps items like socketed STR Mempo, etc., so that I can actually beat some ass while I tank the damage. I haven't been able to purchase all the items I want yet, but I think it will be a consistent safe way to farm act4. Pure tank in act4 just doesn't cut it for doing all the elites and bosses. Well, technically it can be done, but it's not fun lol.

Thanks for posting that! I have a few questions.
How much resist do u have to make it to 70%? (I know armor is ~10k)
Do you have any + life on hit? And if you don't than why exactly is the attack speed important? thought only the average dmg matters.
I assume the 16% reduction comes from a String of Ears belt?
Do you recommend to spend money on % block or it aint that important?
This helps so much man, thanks! Also would be happy to watch your stream pwning inferno :D
I may have a tiny bit of life on hit on a piece of gear but I'm not sure, nothing noticeable though, also attack speed is quite an easy way to raise your DPS (I notice not a lot of people do this) also when you have faster attack speed I'm pretty sure you can pull off revenges in succession faster (for example compare spamming revenge on a slow 2H compared to 1H).
My resists are all around 700+, my phys resist is currently at something like 76.8%, the rest are 70%+
I myself haven't stacked %block on any item other than my shield (24% block all together) but It certainly looks viable, at the minute I like the way my build is working though so I don't want to make any drastic changes to stats, such as dropping res,vit or str in huge amounts to get %block.
Yes the %melee reduction comes from string of ears (I only purchased this when fighting rakanoth because I was taking quite a lot of damage from the blink strikes when I had ignore pain or iron impact leap on CD)
no problem! My streams down at the minute for 1 hour due to the maintenance, so It'll be back up when the servers come back up.

No worries, I didnt' see it as you trying to bash me at all lol.
Yeah the main problem for barbs at the minute as far as I can see is that so many people are stacking vit/res and have no damage, but it also works the opposite way, if you have too much damage and not enough defensive stats you will also fail.
I think I've struck a good balance at the minute and am happy the way it's working out, I have a lot of ideas for different viable builds once gold isn't much of an issue.

Where is all his fury coming from? Just shout/spear? That doesn't seem right. That's only 90 fury in 30 seconds. Clearly he's getting more than 9 throws in.

he has the passive which has a chance to return 14 fury on hit with throw weapon.

Battle Rage + Into the Fray While under the effects of Battle Rage, Critical Hits have a chance to generate 15 additional Fury.
and /or
No Escape Increases the damage of Ancient Spear and Weapon Throw by 10%. In addition, a Critical Hit with Ancient Spear resets the cooldown while Critical Hits with Weapon Throw have a chance to return 14 Fury.
Is anyone able to provide detailed info concerning the Weapon Throw build gear wise? Crit. and atk. speed are important i guess? Why is it dual wield? Because of the attack speed? Really think about trying it, but my funds (farm time) are quite limited. Is it viable on inferno act II+ with "mediocre" gear?
I know what my tank build lacks and could improve it, but i'd honestly rather play a range barb than a low dps tank with only frenzy all the f..'n time. The only fun is clever usage of the defensive skills, positioning and kiting atm.
I also wonder about the passive skill Bloodthirst (3% lifeleech). Is it "true" 3% on inferno or nerved the same way as lifeleech through gear?
You guys think that DW/2h Melee barbs could see some light in Inferno if Blizzard ends up tweaking the spikiness of it? I saw a post a few pages back about how it was hard to sustain through the spiky damage in inferno w/o a shield. It'd be so awesome if dw/2h became viable if they kept Inferno difficult but found away to smooth out the damage.

You get all the aspd/movespeed/critrate legendaries you can, have a ton of aspd and crit chance from everything possible, str the only important actual stat, etc.
With mediocre gear you cannot crit enough to keep your fury up enough to be able to sustain weapon throw without running out, I'm afraid.
The 3% is nerfed.

Thanks a lot for the detailed and quick response! I'll look out for other viable builds tomorrow and experiment a bit. I might start a weapon throw try with Weapon Master (Axe) and the other crit passive, but i guess this is already included in the build. Farming act I is just so less efficient than progressing and the tank build bores the hell out of me. 100+ Res. all without dumping too much other stuff and more LoH and i'm good to go for act II but I'd really like to spend my gold on something new and fancy, than getting my missing pieces together...

Well at the minute all weapon builds are viable to be honest but for some builds you just need a lot better gear to pull it off efficiently.
Dual wield and 2H is possible to use but you just need to compensate for the lack of block with more resists/hp/dodge.
also as stated before, you have to be geared to a higher standard to pull it off and make it actually work.

idk how to put photo in = \ if anyone can tell me how to do it properly pls say gooby!
0 life on hit, 0 % damage reduction, 12% block.
Upping all of those should make a big difference.
pic might be a bit small, but im on 310 life on hit, and i have 17% DR. but i do have low block. i was going with over 1k life on hit before, but decided to up my dps (was at 6ish k) instead.

6.5M, 3.5M, 700k, so just shy 11M.
I paid an inflated price for SS, no reason a 27% should be 6.5 but I just got sick of waiting for this bullshit (30-50M storm shields) market to relax. My friend actually paid 6M for a 30% with dex (he's a monk) at like 3am.
I think that chest for 700k is an absolute steal.. and I did steal it, saw it with 3 minutes remaining and sniped it on a bid. The buyout was 4M (overpriced). The helm was an impulse purchase.. I didn't think id find another one anytime soon with all res, vit, life % AND socket.
