quick question: does the +% block add to the 27% or is the 27% have it included?

just got to put the time in to farm really. I only have 3M left which I will likely save up for either a nice justice lantern or save up way more for a big LoH weapon. It all depends on how much money you have, If you can afford to sink a mill or two a time to craft good items then it's worth it.
Of course It's all RNG but I can say confidently that after every "Crafting session" I at least come out with enough gear to get my money back and most times more than break even.
Also a lot of times I've managed to create upgrades for myself. With the next patch as well the crafting will be cheaper so maybe it's best to wait until then if you are having second thoughts.

Hi again, thanks for the reply I don't have a lot of money since my time is drained by exams and I rarely have over 200k gold (I spend 45k+ a day on health pots) I guess I will wait for the patch to arrive. By then my exams should be over and summer holiday started. thanks again

I've made about 20 of the 5 affix chest piece, kept 1 for myself and sold the others for a net profit. It's about 100k mats+gold cost per 5 affix chest piece. I wouldn't recommend crafting unless you have a plan for a 5 or 6 affix armor. Certain legendaries could also be worth crafting but as a rule weapons are not.

Something I noticed today after finding a blue shield with 20% block and -4% melee damage: -% melee damage stacks multiplicatively. My SoE gives 13% melee reduction, with the shield it went up to 16.48%. This means that having multiple sources of small -% melee reduction is weaker than having 1 source with the same total amount (hence why SoE is so strong--its a giant singular chunk of -% melee damage).

I think the general rule is that the 5-affix ones are breakeven/profitable depending on your luck, and the 6-affix ones can be slightly profitable. Anything else isn't rare/high-demand enough to be consistently profitable.

Act 2 goblin, I think, is where you start act 2 at The Black Soulstone quest. You start at the beginning of the sands where Kulles fortress is, and run back towards the oasis and there's a treasure goblin there. Kill it, take loot, port to town, leave game, resume game, kill same goblin. over and over.

I want to see how the real 'end game' is being handled, what's working best etc., I guess it's still exciting to some people as the game is still new but I don't consider beating diablo on inferno to be much of a feat. I know this sounds kind of QQ, I'm just way more interested in a less superficial 'beating' of the game. (I'm not accusing theSkEncrypt of doing what I'm complaining about just to be clear) Yep, I know exactly what you're saying, well I've been streaming the majority of the time I've been playing on Inferno solo and have spent many hours on every act wiping and wiping and wiping until I manage to adapt (by changing skill builds, items etc.) I always try to clear everything I come in contact with, I rarely skip anything and anyone who regularly watches my stream can vouch for that Also my gear isn'#t too standard, I have: 64k hp 70% all resist 70% armor 16% reduction from melee 17k DMG (unbuffed) alot of other barbs that I see soloing have incredibly low damage but I have pretty high attack speed due to weapon and rings, also running a near 1k dps 1H which I found myself, my gear also consists of a lot of pieces I crafted myself! Can you recommend other barbs to invest money in crafting? A lot of people I have read comments of - don't recommend it. I have a feeling though that those people haven't bothered levelling it themselves. As a succesful barbarian who crafts himself - what's your take on it? By then my exams should be over and summer holiday started. thanks again What build do you use / what are your stats? There's something fundamentally wrong if you need to actually buy pots. You could save billions if you just circumvent it by buying some cheap life on hit like Kymbo.
I am having a lot of trouble clearing act 1. I've only killed Butcher with 5 NV stacks once and that was yesterday.
My stats in combat with shouts are: (approx. values)
Screenshot
40k hp 8,5k dps 6500 armor 11% block chance for 820-950 450-570 resistances 3% missile reduction 0% melee reduction 0 life per hit
My build is: Frenzy (usually Maniac) Revenge (Provocation) Ground Stomp (Wrenching Smash) Ignore Pain (Iron Hide) (This slot changes now and again) Battle Rage (Maurader's Rage) War Cry (Impunity)
Tough as Nails Superstition Berserker's Rage
I, like everyone else, had been cruising through normal-hell - and inferno hit me like a brick wall. Finding help here I realized I had basically no resistance and sacrificed 10k hp and halved my dps to where I am now. I was weary to get life on hit since people seemed to have mixed feelings toward it - but by now I am thinking my next weapon upgrade will include that (as well as LoH being an interesting affix for other future gear) I am also thinking I need to upgrade my shield past 11% block rate and looking in to missile/melee reduction while upping my resistances further. It'd be amazing if I could circumvent pots - at the moment I am barely making money.

^ nerves of steel as passive instead of rage ground stomp could be switched for charge for healz ignore pain for wotb
and basically better gear for moar hp and str

Im trying to get through act 3 and I really don't know what should I focus on Won't speak for him but it's likely the same type of gear/build everyone is currently using. I understand why people claim to have 'cleared' inferno, after all they likely beat all of the end bosses for each act. Therefor, they 'won'. It honestly doesn't take nearly as much gear to simply get a waypoint through some gimmick or corpse jumping and defeat the bosses. The bosses are generally the easiest part of the Act. I think most of the more active players in this discussion with above average gear could TP to diablo and beat him if they put in a little time. One thing you can do is take the quest on A1 just after wortham (if you've got that far) where you have to go to the spider cave, on the way to the cave (at the end of the bridge) there is a chance for a merchant to spawn, he sells pots at half price.

u really need to upgrade your weapon and your shield
try this: rings: 15%+ as, 60+ str should be <15k (vendor trash)
shield: u should be able to get 50+ resist, 75+ str, 17%+ block for <150k make sure you get a sacred shield, they're more expensive but they block way more damage
weapon: just drop 100k on an 750+ dps socketed weapon and stick a purple gem for life on hit try to get a sword for extra attackspeed but it's not really a big deal watch out for that stuff where they socket a ruby so it looks like the weapon has more dps, but it actually doesn't
bam 300k and u too can stomp act 1 inferno

I don't think it's wrong to have to buy pots (I was using quite a few on my first few clears of Skeleton King--usually popping 2-3 on each elite pack). 45k seems excessive though. I don't think you'd need to pot on anything other than elites, because Revenge healing should be more than enough on trash, and with 2-3 per elite pack, that's maybe 15 pots a run. Accounting for the 5-10 pots you'll pick up along the way, that's only like 5k a run on pots. Given that you can easily be picking up like 20-30k off the ground in gold drops, buying pots shouldn't be a gold sink at all.
If you're having to use pots on trash, there's definitely a problem.

Thanks for all the comments guys - I'll be looking in to switching my passives and actives around and getting some of the recommended gear.

Nerves of Steel has priority over Superstition, if you want to use Superstition replace Rage with it Ignorance is Bliss is just awful for tank builds early on. You simply don't have the DPS to turn it into significant healing (your only damage source is Frenzy, and with 8k DPS, that's like 8k healing. 2 more seconds of Ignore Pain will block more than 8k damage with such low DPS.
Also, I assume you mean getting rid of Battle Rage? You cannot seriously be suggesting giving up the 20% armor/50% resistances of War Cry.
