Today as me and my mom got off the elevator in the hospital we heard a shreak akin to that of a banshee. Next thing we know this woman comes screaming and running down the hall, grabs a picture off the wall and CHUCKES it towards us! It hits the wall to our left as we get back into the elevator and the doors close as she reaches the elevator.
Now for both back stories.
Back story number one why me and my mom are here. (1) 20 Days ago my dad was out running and was hit by a car going about 40 miles an hour. He broke his lower legs in multiple places (bone sticking out of the skin), his right femur, 8 ribs, punchtured his left lung, had blood in his head, and multiple smaller wounds. He has been in ICU (Intensive Care Unit) the entire time and is still in a (initally medically induced) coma.
Back story number 2, screaming woman. (2) This morning her mother was admitted to the hospital from some sort of accident. We do not know the details besides the fact hat now her mom is in ICU, basically she is stable. The womans family had come to see her and upon the daughter (screaming woman) seeing her mom she freaked out and started yelling and running and doing damage without regard to others.
Hospital's have always been my 2nd least favorite place (nursing homes are numero uno) and I can understand to a slight degree freaking out upon seeing a loved one in a horrible situation (see above). I don't think anyone was injured (scared and maybe hit or pushed but not much more).
Well thanks for reading and if you would like I can keep people up to date on both situations.

I'm so sorry dude . I hope everything turns out well for you.

As someone who (at least used to do) a lot of running, this is a pretty scary scenario. Drivers have got to learn to be more mindful of pedestrians.
I actually had a friend in highschool who got hit by a car crossing the street. Some woman ran a stop sign and slammed into him, apparently throwing him a good distance. Somehow he made it out with just cuts and bruises.

This is why i do my running on footpaths. So easy to not notice something like a car when your completely knackered towards the end of your run. Hope your dad is ok man.

That's a crazy story, hope everything works out with your dad. I wish you and your family the best

Thanks guy's I appreciate it

Hope everything works out Keegs! <3

Is it bad that I laughed at the picture throwing part? Best o luck to your father man! I intern at a hospital, I don't like it either, it's as eery as a funeral home.

I'm a bad person, i laughed at that. That's quite sad really
|
Naw I laughed after the fact as well. My mom looked at me and said the same thing "Is it bad that looking back on it it's funny to me?" Hence why I wanted to share, thought it was entertaining and somewhat like the begining of a horror movie lol

Are we talking about just a piece of paper, or was the picture in a frame?
