Does my Data get Automatically shared with you? Or do we need to send it somewhere? (high dia, playing masters ppl sometimes)
|
Okay here is a good question.
The graph shows me that i dropped in MMR even after i won a game ( playing only masters). The difference in the graph feels right according to what blizzard says to me when a game starts ( even, slightly favoured, favoured ) so that seems alright but i'm guessing something with the post calculation what feels off to me.
Or is that only me? if so i'm happy to post my graphs/match history if you can do something with that.
I still had bonus pool, i'm not sure if my opponent had leftover bonus pool

All MMR predictions are +- 16 points. If your MMR dropped by more than 32 points after winning a game (both matches against Master) then there's something else about.

Just another note, and again this is me throwing out there what i feel is going on with my mmr.
I played 25 games today, and i lost 10 and won 15, but my mmr is actually only 16 points higher then the start of this session. My mmr is almost rock solid, and with the problem that my mmr actually dropped while winning ( 3-4 times now ) but never went up when loosing, gives me reason there is something amiss with the formula to calculate it.
I will keep providing games with this tool to clarify these things because i am very interested in seeing such hidden rating.
Btw my last played game was against a favoured opponent ( gave me 18 points for a win ) and it dropped my MMR by 29 points. pm me if you want screenshots or anything else to analyze this
BTW this is me assuming that the program gets MMR after a game, not before

When I try to enable version 1.1 it freezes while checking the version
still unable to enable the plugin...version check is failing to do anything. The plugin details says its version 1.0 tho...is it supposed to say 1.1?

That won't be necessary, your games data are in the file with the others and I reviewed them there.
The program calculates your MMR before the match based on your opponent's adjusted points change. I believe this is the part you're referring to:
- You won on Ohana vs opponent (spelzu) with an unknown MMR (for some reason plugin failed to read your points change, which is +12 non adjusted points from your profile page, not entirely sure but I think you got 12 adjusted points, which put your opponent's MMR at 215+-16). Your MMR before the game was 234+-16.
- You lost a game on cloud kingdom vs opponent (again spelzu) with an incorrectly calculated MMR of 567+-16 (plugin read incorrectly your points change as -1, your real points change was -13, and MMR of opponent 195+-16). Your MMR before the game was 255+-16.
- You won a game on Ohana vs opponent (nyan) with MMR of 438+-16. Your MMR before the game was 226+-16.
The only thing to take from your data is that the problems we noticed for SEA battle net profile pages updating slowly are not confined to SEA alone, but can also happen on Europe. This is bad news.
If you're referring to another set of matches let me know.
Having said all this, I am aware of one case where F gives an apparent MMR drop after a win. I suspect this is a special case that may have something to do with players that have a high sigma (uncertainty) value and/or low number of games played. However these are the exception not the rule.

Yes these games are the one that were the most apparent in these cases you got the right ones. why whole series of last night had a few of these flaws in there. Hope you figure out what causes this

Never mind just figured it out, open the file mmrplugin once, then youll see the exact same file again, copy and paste that one to your sc2gears plugins then follow the rest of the directions

Outstanding works guys

GM +1715 Masters +1285 Diamond +946 Platinum +733 Gold +552 Silver +339 Bronze +0 of course

When I press enable plugin.. it feezes with a popup box saying "version check"
|
For you who can't find the plugin in the plugin manager, you need to start sc2gears from the installation folder, when i started it from a shortcut it didn't work.

I was interested in the distribution of MMR, so I did the following graph showing Master league MMR distribution over players
+ Show Spoiler +Only master vs master games have been used. Per game, the data set shows two MMR ratings and two identifiers and I use those as seperate data points. In case an identifier has more than one entry, I take the average MMR of that identifier. Note that I do not differentiate between servers, something potentially hazardous. The fact that I did not use Diamond vs Master data may have an impact on the distribution, however, I think these effects are limited because I average over all games per player.
I think your project could benefit from a more detailed description of how the data entries are defined. Some questions that came to my mind: Which MMR is player MMR, which opponent MMR? Does every player have a unique identifier? And so on.
P.S.: Alright, now I know that I am a low Master
