No.... it would not be close... stephano would destroy him, no matter how "godly" you think Flash is, nobody can pick up the game, have no clue what the units do and still manage to beat a world class player.
You don't know how good Korean BW pros are.
To be fair, you guys are underestimating Stephano too. He has quite solid mechanics and over 200 EPM. Flash wouldn't be able to beat him without knowing how the units work without massively outmacroing him, and that's not really going to happen. Note that I said massively.

He would practice that much per day and still not learn what the units do? Kid must be retarded.

Of all Sc2 players to point to, you pick Stephano? Lol. He wins because of his strats, not because of his mechanics.
That doesn't mean he has bad mechanics. I was just responding to them, they were the ones who brought up Stephano.

It wouldn't matter how much Flash practiced if he never learned what the units did. All SC2 strategy relies on knowing what the units do, so Flash's only way of winning would be with his mechanics.
Is this guy serious? Flash would beat most current pro gamers with just marines. No medivac, no upgrade, no nothing. EZPZ. Stephano is no exception. And before you go on anymore, no, Stephano's mechanics are leagues below Flash's. The only way someone like Stephano could beat Flash was if the game was made so easy that Flash's skill had no use. SC2 is easy, but not that easy.

Prepare to have the "elephant in the room" thread bumped, regardless of the outcome.
My take is that he will of course be very good when he makes the full switch. Definitely code A/code S material. Will he be the first SC2 bonjwa? Will he make all the current pros look terrible by comparison? Will we measure SC2 time pre-Flash and post-Flash?

I think that must be one of the top 5 dumbest comments of the year. No matter if you're trying to be funny or serious^^
You know that the coach used past tense when he said "[...] Flash reached top master without knowing [...]".
I could actually totally believe that he outplayed and outmacroed everyone, just by getting upgrades, bio and medivacs.
So here's what it is like:
- Stephano is one of the top foreign contenders to beat the best koreans. However his work ethics are just not in Flash's league... by far
- Flash still probably plays like 95% Broodwar, which makes it hard to believe that he could beat Stephano right now.
=> if (or as soon as ) Flash picks up SC2 fulltime, his dedication, work ethics and prowess will most likely be WAAAAAHHAAAAAYYY out of Stephanos reach.

you can't possibly know that^^ he might actually be way too godly for everyone, who knows. but a "I'm right" attidude, no matter how exaggerated the other party's argument is, won't make your point.
I wanna see Stephano in code S first.
But as I've said. Flash plays because its his destiny, Stephano plays because he's good, but more importantly because he makes loads of money. Flash will practice for 14 hours a day until he is confident in his play. Stephano will play 4-6 hours a day, as long as he wants to.
Whether or not Flash is godly right away or will get to the top thorugh practice and dedication actually doesn't matter to me. What matter is, that no matter which way, he will definitely end up being better than Stephano.

Nobody's saying he's better than Flash as an RTS player. As an SC2 player, I can imagine that he currently is. Welcome to TL! You might find yourself wanting to evacuate this planet very frequently.
Meh, I really don't think SC2 allows for such big skill gaps like in BW where mechanics are less forgiving and increase the gap based on pure mechanical skill, at which Flash is a monster.
But I really don't think that we will see any "one" player dominate for an extended period of time in SC2, ever, due to how much "easier" it is to play at say 80%(totally made up number, but you get my point) of perfection in this game compared to BW, which imo has both advantages and disadvantages.
People forget that BW bonjwas have already switched and they have been good, but not great, imo =)

This has to be the most ignorant thing to say. It will take Flash atleast half a year of fulltime practice to catch up to Stephano and that is being very generous. This game is completely different.
