Complaints about moderation and freedom of speech are for the website feedback forums. They will be treated as being off topic and dealt with appropriately. No more Iron Lady talk, no more gender debate. This is a thread about a StarCraft player. Last I checked what's in between your legs has no impact on how you play the game. I agree with some of the comments here that the moderation on this thread has been dreadful. It's way too soft. I have gone ahead and simply deleted a bunch of comments that fail TL's community standards. Yes, those standards are determined by the mods. Yes, those standards are not perfect nor even uniformly applied. But we try our best. Spare us your righteous indignation over any notional impairment of free speech. This is a private site. It's a club. There is no "right" to free speech here. We only tolerate quality speech. By who's standards? Ours. Go read the TL Ten Commandments. And if you don't like this policy or our way of running our house, leave. - mensrea

On the topic at hand, I feel that she would benefit more in terms of skill if she joined a korean team or a more established foreign team as she would have better practice partners. I'm guessing that she joined Eclypsia because it was the best deal (ie training in Korea, good salary, get to fly to tournaments) offered to her.

Speaking of people learning fast, this is a pretty cool story too: Kolll This guy posted on TL that its bad to only be like D+ after 6 months of Starcraft... and got warned by the mods after boasting he was B- after that time. Turns out it was true, next thing we all knew he was @ WCG playing Bisu, taking 4th place.

And to be honest, it doesn't really matter 99% of the time But then when you enter the Iron Lady tournament, the 1% pops up and asks the question. And in my opinion, fails the question from an anatomy standpoint. In my world of mixed martial arts, a transgender would not get away with entering (and automatically winning) a WMMA contest. They would perform a simple epitestosterone level check, and the transgender would fail that test. I would imagine Scarlett failing a epitestosterone test as well. I'm only bringing this up to point out that the second place finisher of the Iron Lady tournament is probably the true winner. Yes, a male hormonal footprint really powers up your APM. I mean, men's fingers get so much more muscular. Not to mention the notorious genetic advantage for mechanics, micro, macro, and strategical thinking. /sarcasm you're delusional if you think that while playing a game designed FOR a primarily male audience having male sexual characteristics and by correlation the perks and downs that come with it (aggression, focused vision, better tracking of moving objects, etc) has no benefits. People have the tendency of condemning actions that are unusual in their eyes, simply because they're not used to them. Doesn't really matter if laptops and desktops offer the same gaming capacity or not, because when people are given the choice of using a new product or a familiar product, they tend to favor what they're comfortable with, despite any evidence that shows equality between the two. Or I could be talking 100% out of my ass. You'll never know for sure.

I assume when people here she plays on a laptop they are thinking she is using the little finger pad thing to do the clicking. For all we know she could have the laptop connected to a larger monitor with a mouse connected to it. Haters gonna hate
