Makes me question whether Polt really deserves that Code S seed, though. Well, we'll see.
Sorry, but what a stupid comment. Both are great players. It was a great series. Stephano played better this series, but they're both S class players, in my mind. It's a valid comment. Polt was code B and got a code s seed. He certainly didn't display code s level play today. He played quite disappointing today. Can't count how many free tanks polt gave away each game or how many times he blew away leads. It's not a valid comment so say a player isn't Code S quality from a single series. Especially against someone like Stephano. you also have to take into consideration that polt is seriously jetlagged by 20 hours while stephano spent a full week in texas. It's not even jetlag. Stephano played great. All seven games between them were insanely close. It's silly to take one series and go, 'Wow, he doesn't deserve the seed because he lost to a great player.' By those standards, we should kick MVP out of the GSL for losing to Demuslim or Nestea losing to Ret. Are you new? NesTea lost to Demuslim. Mvp lost to Ret
Yes, I am new.
I apologize for mistaking the players. The statement is still valid. Nestea and MVP played badly at Winter Arena. Doesn't mean they aren't great players. Stephano played amazingly and Polt played well, but overall gave away leads and couldn't beat Stephano.

more balance whine than in a BNet forum... Everytime a non-terran player wins a tournament we see this same level of butthurtness from the terran whiners. It's getting pretty sickening to be honest. So true, its like they think only terrans should win You understand a foreign Terran hasn't won a major live event in 1.5 years right? That is because the foreign terrans are not at the same lvl as Zerg foreigners or toss foreigners.

Im hoping for it so much as well.

You know I see all sorts of shit in LR threads, but I can see where your coming from on this one with my background but to say Polt played bad today? I cannot agree with that. The games were incredibly entertaining and I understand why you would be upset with the results being a Polt fan.
I will leave it at this, Polt was unable to adapt. Those games could have gone either way.

There's a reason Stephano has consistently said he's afraid of Polt even after first beating him.

No one is at the same level as Korean Terrans lol

Polt was playing great in all the games its just he was unable to push his advantage mid to late game... as well as adapt to stephanos quick hive tech.
Stephano was also playing really well and was the better player today.

Any player can have a bad day, yup. That's why we look at their whole body of work and put more emphasis on the recent results.

In recent past, tournaments and practice games alike, Polt really did have Stephano's number. To be able reverse that trend and to win in a tournament situation against that kind of adversary is so impressive.
Congratulations Stephano!!
... and I really hope we get to see more finals of that caliber.

Makes sense, has something to do with needing korean blood to be good at terran, right? If only they received a transfusion, or maybe that won't help since the simple fact that they chose terran already doomed them, in that case not even a race switch will help, oh god.

People have to stop thinking about the Koreans as gods! They are good, damn good! But some of the foreigners is just as good, players like Stephano has the ability beat every player that is. Not saying he is the best player inn the world. Just that he has the ability and skill to win every tournament he enters if he is lucky and plays his absolutely best, just like every player have to do and be if the are going too win a tournament that has the many of the best players that are.

Thanks. You can't possibly think that ghosts wouldn't help against this infestor-heavy play Thats not what I'm asking, I'm asking people to point out games where they have been used. Until then all we have is random forum posters telling players like Polt how to play. Besides, I find ghosts hard to justify when a tank costs about the same amount, a tank shot does the same damage as a snipe and ghosts now have literally NO other use besides countering infestors. As they really shouldn't. Any amount of EMP on Stephano's clumped infestors would have greatly mitigated the amount of damage his fungals dealt on all that bio. I'm not saying ghosts would have definitively won Polt that game but those fungals were definitely tearing his marine-heavy army to shreds. You are lucky to hit 2 infestors with 1 EMP when the radius is so small, snipe is probably more cost effective at countering infestors. But then you compare it to a tank and see even less reason to build a ghost. When no progamer builds ghosts in TvZ any more, they probably have pretty damn good reasons for it.
Ghosts can cloak and move around though, tanks have to stay sieged. Tanks can't fire on infestors because the marines/marauders are usually way out in front so they can have room to kite back. Its a good point people are making about emp radius, but I wonder whether they're *that* useless. 2 infestors max? If they're clumped up I'd think you could get three or four with one well-placed emp.
