Need to push on through so I can get back to the interesting characters!! Christ man, that book man... It gets better later on but shit, I found it really hard to swallow that one. Luckily for me I got it on Audio book and with my mindless work I made it through in the end. My favourite in that series so far is a Dance with Dragons. Really looking forward to the release of The winds of winter!

My favourite in that series so far is a Dance with Dragons. Really looking forward to the release of The winds of winter! I felt that Dance suffered from the same problems. Incredibly long with very little happening. It all feels like setup with very little being resolved. After the third book and the major event that shook the status quo, the series has been a little aimless. It was a ballsy move, but I am not sure if GRRM can manage to keep a handle on his story.

Cormac CcCarthy: The Sunset Limited. - Awesome, simplistic Cormac style story. It's about mr white and mr black, an atheist and a Christian, discussing life and death. Originally a play, also made a film out of it, starring Samuel jackson and Tommy Lee Jones. Haruki Murakami: After The Quake. Short stories around the time of the Kobe quake in Japan, 1995. Kurt Vonnegut: A Man Without A Country. Imo the best and most honest work of this great author, packed in this small series of short stories. Breakfast For Champion. Funny on many levels. I guess I gotta reread it, cuz It diden't really turn me on the Vonnegut way. And I really suppose this should be one of these books. Cat's Cradle. Awesome start on this book, loved the father of the Abomb character. Too bad he tries to pack up so many points/criticism in such a short book. Sudhir Vankatesg: One day as a gang leader. Half ass book about gangs in Chicago. Imo, a good thought, but seems like he wrapped it up to fast. Not gonna bother uploading a pic for this one... Julian Rubinstein: Ballad of The Whiskey Robber. This is a book I highly recommend. It's a real story about a Huangrian/romian goal keeper, who decides to become a bank robber. Gives great and original insight of post-communistic Budaphest, in an original and hysterical way. Hunter S. Thomson. Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas. Speaks for itself. Funny and entertaining. The Rum Diary. So far the best I've read by Thomson. Indescribable entertaining, and so much style packed in so few pages! GO AND BUY, NOOOW!! Mitch Albom: Five People You Meet In Heaven. Cute little book about shallow existensialism based around one individual..ish. Karl Ove Knausgård:My Struggle vol 1(out of 6). Already a classic in Scandinavia. Danish Kapital compares him to Goethe and Hamsun. A "rockstar" in Norway. This is some awesome, but really wierd shit. Describes daily events in a cathing and unshy way. Reading atm: On The Road, Keruac HST. The Essentials. Mostly Rolling Stones aricles written by Thomson. And some mails between him the RS staff/editor. The Sun Alsos Rises - Hemingway

The first one will be: The Brothers Karamazov (Die Brüder Karamasow), Fjodor Dostojewski Second: Crime and Punishment (Schuld und Sühne), Fjodor Dostojewski Third: Anna Karenina, Lew Nikolajewitch Tolstoi Fourth: 1Q84, Haruki Murakami YES I was waiting so hard for this book :D The ones mentioned above will not be the only ones I read. Just the ones I really want to read this year and wich I will give priority. €: I forgot one important on my list. Actually an American patient on my ward recommendet it to me (as I was the only one who could really talk to him) and I think I have to give it a try. Fifth: Altas Shrugged - Ayn Rand

World War Z is a collection of short stories told in an interview style narrative. Many of the short stories are fairly interesting. Starting: It's a real horrorshow novel. Dankbeer

Ok well because no one else has said it, The Magician's Guild was published 5 years before any of the Mistborn books. Surprisingly good considering the awful cover. It was in the horror section but it's not got anything close to horror for the first like, 300 pages. A pretty decent book about people going crazy with the tedium of work with a bit of Sci-fi and that thrown in. A bunch of video-game references too. Will be next, should be cool. After that, The Bonehunters. I try to take gaps between Malazan books but this one has been a tough wait.

I read them both back to back and enjoyed Angels and Demons more because I felt like the pacing of the story moved a lot quicker.
