I realized I acidently posted the not quite final version of this (accidentally saved it over my better version) so it could be related to that. Edit, found it. Keeping it though. There's absolutely NOTHING wrong with the fact that Nestea cheesed, just as there's NOTHING wrong with MVP cheesing either. I'm just saying that MKP is pretty much zerg cheese proof. Edit: Blast you beat me to it! LOL at saying MKP is pretty much zerg cheese proof. MKP is awful against zerg cheese, that's pretty much his achiles heel. You should go watch MKP vs aTnDelphi (who's like a semi-tier european that isnt particularly good ) @ Homestory Cup 4
No one cares about HSC 4
This is epic!!! I don't think people understand how crazy these matches are gonna be! I'm rooting for MKP and Nestea. Drg's zvz is really good but come on, he admits asking Nestea for help.

Don't know why so many people think nestea won't make it out. did no one watch the last round against MVP? So he had arough couple months; so did mc, or even mvp a while back. this is nestea, 3 time gsl winner, king of preparation, ina group of notoriusly inconsistent players

Alright, added a few of those facts and suggestions that people have mentioned into the OP.
I guess if I had to say who'll come out here I'd say
Nestea>DRG 2-1 Even though admittedly DRG actually has some beastly ZvZ Genius>MKP 2-0 Genius>Nestea 2-1 If Genius can beat DRG in PvZ 2-0 then I think he can even beat Nestea... probably. DRG>MKP 2-1 Nestea > DRG 2-1
Genius and Nestea advance...
GOD that's so hard to say tho. ANY of those matches could go either way and who knows if Genius is just all hype still. Man, I just don't know.

Fun read, but could have been better

Heart wants Nestea and Genius. Brain says MKP and DRG.

Despite the positive feedback I quickly skimmed the front page, seen a huge wall of text with random pictures and couldn't discern anything related to the title. I wasn't aware of the players in group D and quickly glancing this post has done little to remedy it. Instead of randomly tossing in pictures for comedy, why not add SOMEWHERE the details of group D. Their names, in big bolded text, their pictures, the maps, etc. Write-up was cool but organization and presentation was extremely sub par.

I'll do that next time and will have the player sections bolded. However this isn't exactly meant to be one of those write ups. The TL staff is going to do a write up either way and that will be more what you're looking for. This "wall of text with random pictures" --thereby not being a wall of text by definition-- appeals to some, but it clearly isn't your thing, I suggest you don't read the next one.

Bwahahahaha xD DRG can't beat Genius. He needs the Bulgogi.

You all forget one thing, NesTea is really good in the GSL because he has time to prepare specific builds tailored around the maps and the player...that's why at times he looks unstopable and although a great player, when there's a lot of matches in a couple of days he performs a bit or a lot worse than his normal GSL self. So I actually really expect him to win the group in first place.

Honestly I think that if DRG wants to get out of this group, he needs to take down Nestea. Nestea's incredibly smart, but he's an old guy, I'm betting that his micro isn't as insane as DRG's. The best idea would be to force a bling war with nestea, where he has room to mess up. That or meta-game the shit out of him and nydus or something. lol
Prediction
DRG<Nestea
Genius>MKP
Nestea<Genius
DRG>MKP
BUTTTT
DRG>Nestea
Second time's a charm!
Genius and DRG advances!
Bulgogi dinner ensues!
:D
Edit: Wow that prediction was incredibly close to yours, Dougler But ye have no faith in DRG *glove slap

Well tonight's the night. Lets see how this turns out!

Good writeup. You know I'm still angry for that GSL Open finals. My whole body was shacking as I realized that Nestea defended the proxy rax on close Metal (xD) successfully. Something in me needs to see MKP stomp Nestea to be in peace.

First nestea, and then, MVP.
