Girlfriends birthday coming up and want 1-2 more things--kind want something thats a bit nerdy/geeky and awesome. Currently getting as well
notebook for note taking while playing games (she really makes a lot of notes for when shes playing videogames) that has two of her favorite anime characters on it
book about the history of video games
alice: Madness returns for ps3 (she loves alice in wonderland based stuff)
Ouran high host club live action tv show dvd--she loved the anime/manga
so im looking for something outside of those realms in terms of maybe jewelry, collectible or plush that will go well for a nerd.

Alice for the ps3 definitely. Its a fun game and if she likes alice stuff plus likes video games then I think thats a sure winner. Only doubt would be its very Tim Burtonish rather than disney which may turn her off and its a platforming/puzzler game which may not be to her liking.
Another suggestion that pops to mind is some of the penny arcade store stuff. Nerdy, game related and their books are hours of hilarity, or a shirt etc almost all game/nerdy fun apparel.
Final thought is if she is a SC nerd or TL nerd then of course the only option is a TL shirt!!
EDIT: Almost forgot, also handsome nerd AND nerdette

If she likes Portal, the plush companion cube is definately it it.

How about a Razer mouse so she can dominate SC2... or perhaps a pack of Stride gum?
In all seriousness, if you have a few weeks yet before her birthday, you may consider waiting to bid on some of the cool stuff they're going to auction off for Awesome Games Done Quick. The really cool stuff typically sells for a high price, though, because the money goes to charity. So that might not be the best idea after all. Actually it's probably too far away anyway.., I know most nerds procrastinate as bad as I do!
...you could pre-order Diablo III for her on teamliquid or even buy her a TL poster! I heard they have great shipping macro!

She actually preferred (at least the first half of the tim burton one as for her it rang more true to the book (which is the real thing shes a fan of) she also liked sucker punch just because it was themed somewhat around alice. something about the story she just really enjoys--i got her a copy of the book for one of our first somethings together.
I had looked over handsomenerd a while ago and didnt find much...but i think i may have found one looking at it again just now. Good work synwave, you gain 2 experience.

She watched me play most of the first one but never got around to playing it herself. eventually we will get portal 2 to coop but we are cheap and wait for massive price drops before buying most games--maybe next year i will go with that

The new alice game wasn't that good to be honest, at least not in comparison with the first.

I have the perfect idea. A custom-made "thing" from one of her favorite games. Mike from fantasyprops.com can do whatever you like. Here are some of his works. Use the contact form to say what you want.

Get her some flowers, possibly some nice box chocolates. Don't need to focus on her nerd/geek side, girls love flowers

Get her some Gallium. Its melting point is the same temperature as the human body, so when you hold it in your hand it melts. Pretty neat.

I'd say a romantic dinner. Take a Friday night have her come on over. Make her dinner, goat cheese on bagettes with sundried tomatoes, she'll be like "wow you really do care". After dinner take her over to the bedroom, the bed covered in rose peddles, she'll be suprised because she didn't know you could. Start making love to the girl of your dreams and then, well you know what happens...

thank goodness I'm already broke!

She would suspect that im dying if I did that. the only time i've ever bought her flowers is when i won a $75 gift card for a flower company on the radio. as you can tell, im totally the romantic type.
