A hidden PM mechanic gives mafia too much influence, as they already can comprise a large section of the secret vote. Lurker vigilantes will work best because nobody can slack off knowing that they are "safe" (which is the basic problem with a general anti-inactivity rule). Having lurker vigilantes also gives the players the power to choose who to eliminate rather than forcing the host to have a single hard and fast rule about it. I'd use Ver's suggestion, except you may want to make 'x' different for every vigilante to prevent that information from leaking (not that the lurker vigilantes have an incentive to leak that information, but just to be on the safe side). Maybe with a posting restriction, isn't allowed to hint at their limitations at all or something.

Anyway I saw there was a noobie game that ended a while ago and I kinda dont wanna screw up any games by entering my noobie ass in some big games where theres lots of expectations from everyone... Im still quite new to some rules (as I said Im used to play a variation of mafia) and still reading the huge walls of text that explain rules and strategies etc but Im just wondering , what would the best choice be for me? Enter some game , or wait until theres a noobie game or something ? Anyway , thanks!

Anyway I ve been playing a variation of this for 3-4 years with friends when we re stuck at a house with not much more to do and I fricking love the game. I never knew the english name of this game was "Mafia" so I never bothered checking this subform (/fail) but I am really interested in playing since Im lurking TL a lot and not doing much anyway since I dont play much sc2 anymore , just follow the scene. This game is built of mainly newbies. The best games to learn are with games like this where you would be on a similar level or at least similar comfort level with the main player base or wait for a mini game which are easier to learn the basics or a noobie only.

When does the next mini start? The OP says it's [M] Miss Marple Mafia - Due to start after Mini Mafia X (Tackster is host; Deconduo is cohost)

I can handle playing in both. When does the next mini start? The OP says it's [M] Miss Marple Mafia - Due to start after Mini Mafia X (Tackster is host; Deconduo is cohost) We're going to be waiting until people start dying off in XLVII before putting up a new game. The plan is to put up kitaman27's themed game and then put up a mini game (probably not Miss Marple Mafia). The order may switch depending on who is ready to host.
