Also half convinced IV drip is the polite term for more severe ass medication, also note they don't tell you what they put in that IV. @Ymir You don't get it. Andy and I are not talking about running into forums and "shitting" on the group. We're talking about having an actual discussion. Like if I walked into TL, what you're saying is that I'd be saying "FUCK ESPORTS STARCRAFT SUCKS PLAY COD LOLLLLL". The type of criticism that we're talking about is walking into TL and saying "I like Starcraft but I don't like how the GSL is run, or how there's friction between the BW and SC2 communities, etc.". You can be CRITICAL without "shitting on" something. Fan forums are created for discussion about something you're a fan of, not only to post adoring praise of anything that has to do with it. If that were true TL would just be about how awesome BW is and how balanced SCII is and how all the players, personalities, etc. are saints. It's not, but the discussion on Soshified is the SNSD equivalent of what I described. As for "every fan forum being the same", I frequented Karaholic when I was a huge Hara fanboy and people there were critical all the time, said they didn't like certain looks on the girls or didn't like a particular song, without a flamewar. There were threads with actual discussion (fun facts, music reviews that were actually reviews and not YO NEW SHIT IS OUT BUY IT ITS AWESOME YEAHHHHHH). Sure there were the adoring "post about how much you love X here", and "Nicole hair- long or short?", but there was also good discussion, something that I unfortunately couldn't find in my 50 posts on SSF. There are places you can find on soshified with discussion too, but the forums are so flooded with shit posts it's completely pushed aside. Rarely can you find anybody that can take small criticisms, that goes for all fan groups.

W/ the exception of SUJU, I can't really name a boy group off the top of my head who have < 50% talented vocalists ... even the more dance oriented ones have awesome pipes. They just don't get as much spotlight because, well honestly, the general public - male and female - want to see cute girls more. That being said, it's no surprise or secret that these girl groups have not-so-very-vocally-inclined members. i.e. Half of the soshis are labelled dancers - rightfully so - and the other half are actually very talented singers. They know it and we know it. Point being, and not only for SNSD but all groups ... appreciate and love them for what they have, don't hate them for what they don't. + Show Spoiler [Inyoung + Jiyeon iiiii] + Oldie buy I like it Overall, boy bands are sooooo much more popular in Korea. It's been a while since I've lived there so it might be different now, but it was all about the girl groups mid decade. The sudden influx of them might have diminished the overall popularity of "girl groups" so I can see the merit in what you're saying. My point was ... I feel like male idols seem and feel more trained vocally than their female counterparts. Doesn't mean all of them are, but they're there. Maybe it has something to do w/ the dynamic of boy band choreo and the selection for the talent? Seems like when companies look for boy groups, they pick up dancers so that they're already tuned and experienced in that field, giving them more room and potential for vocal training i.e. Jay Park or even to go back as far as Se7en and Rain. Although I know Rain debuted first as a singer in a group, I don't think anyone can deny that that boss can dance. But like Kipsate said, you don't necessarily listen to KPOP for vocals. However when things like MR vids are put in play ... why are people surprised? These artist are dancing their asses off, sans breath, and trying to look good at the same time. I prefer to watch that in a performance with some cover music over bands who just stand and sing and still provide a lack luster performance. No disrespect to ballad groups at all because that's what they do and their memo is to saaang and saaang their hearts out, I love me some 2am and davichi ... but to throw t-ara, kara, etc for sounding like shit in videos created with an already faulty method of extracting voice overs in a performance isn't fair. P.S. Fuck I just realized I'm like 10 pages behind. That's what I get for not visiting yesterday. And to all the comments about SSF, who the hell goes to a fan site with motives other than to brag about their group with other people who agree and are in the same boat haha. That aside, discussion was actually pretty fruitful (and still is sometimes) in the forums but anything like that nowadays just gets buried by spazzing XD. It's the symptom of a really large and active community. I used to frequent karaholics, tiaradiadem, and even affxtion ... but honestly, those boards just arent as active. teamliquid is like soompi. There are people of different opinions on there. Now Take soshified as a programming house. Take hardcore sones as stupid bisu/flash/jaedong fanboys. There, you have your argument.

Cause AFAIK he was in Canada until like 14, then moved to Korea international school, then to US for college. It's pretty common for college kids to not have cars and he missed the point in time in the US where he'd have gotten a license in high school.

OOO tyty, I knew he's lived almost everywhere in the map but I've always thought he lived in Canada then went straight to college in the US during his teens. Makes sense now. If he went to Kent, I mighta just missed him by a couple of years! Edit: Nope he went to Seoul Int. ... no wonder he's a freaking genius.

They're riding scouters because they don't have lines/parts in Day by Day which was being sung at the time. Taeyeon, Seohyun, Sunny, Tiffany, and Jessica are the only ones who sing it! The rest ride around on scouters and hand out roses and some other shit to the fans in the front :D
