But one important aspect are hills. Like in Starcraft, being on cliffs or hills give a very important advantage. Since I don't have DotA2 beta, I can't say how it works in DotA2, but in HoN your hero "gives up" chasing an enemy hero if that hero enters fog. So here's a good tip for people: Use attack command into fog to avoid your hero "giving up the chase". Beware that any nearby enemy will be your new target, so be sure to only use this if the coast is clear. Just thought I'd add some tips Also, NEED betakey

Linked this to a mate and he's never played dota before so hopefully he'll gain some knowledge A thing regarding creep pulling, when I'm Scourge (I don't know the equivalent in dota2) I always creep pull at x:15 and x:45 so you don't miss any creeps. Slightly different timing when you're sentinel, but it's a nice rule of thumb for me atleast

Edit: Also, you should highlight some of the popular hiding/juke spots in each lane.

I hope that Dota 2 will be fun as I've grown tired of LoL and its simplistic approach to the genre. Dota seems to have alot more depth and details to learn about.
