I've been getting into canvas painting again lately. Mostly using acrylic paints and brushes, as well as stencils/spray paint on previous stuff and painters markers. I love these expensive ass markers, I wish I could have infinite supply of them, especially since some colors are harder to find.
Some of these are brand new work, some is older and/or unfinished: (A lot of times I find some old crappy artwork in the garage or whatever and go over it)

Sorry I fucked up the formatting, if you were one of the 30 people who got here fast. F5

Seems to look a lot like graffiti except on a canvas. I don't know if your medium quite suits your artistic style.

I feel like making stencils now. Cool stuff ^_^)b

If you do, the best shit to make them out of is like old beer 30 pack boxes or similar thin cardboard packaging stuff. Some shoeboxes work well too

It is a little odd to see graffiti on a canvas as opposed to a brick wall, but I think the art is really cool. I also like all of the variety in this set of paintings. You definitely have an artistic mind ^^

When I was a retarded kid I wanted to make one of those shopping bag stencils so you could discretely spray while pretending to bend down to look at your purchases. I bought these wal mart made to be stencil sheets and they were complete crap. I gave up and cut it out from a 24 pack of coke and have used beer/coke boxes since.
Damn dude how DID you forget the lurker it's fucking LEGIT. It went from yeah thats cool stuff I appreciate that and thanks for sharing to fucking badass in a second. Edit: If you didn't do that lurker with chalk I am crazy and you are very impressive.

It's painter's markers. Just greyish blue color and brown (and then green/yellow & teal for the saliva). Spray-painted black beforehand. I actually brought this to blizzcon a couple years ago.

This is some really amazing artwork. I would be fascinated to hear how you create these. Also that lurker is fucking hard core!

Ah okay I can see that I was thrown off by your shading. That's great shit man. I would take that over a fancy fuck teak coffee table in a heart beat, it looks great.
2nd favorite is definitely the Los Muertes mask.

What do you mean how I create them? Details like this: Skull painting from top of OP. Long time ago I had sketched a smaller version on paper and colored it with painters markers. I always thought it looked really good, especially the blood surrounding (but I could not replicate it due to space etc on the canvas). I found a bunch of brand new unopened canvas in the garage while I was cleaning it out to make room for my new bench press (which was the best deal I've ever got in my life btw). So I took these giant felt markers (for kids I assume) and began to use the red, orange and yellow to sort of fade them together in a square pattern. Next I took a pencil and sketched out the skull design from my paper. Then I muddled over what colors to use from the acrylic paints my mother has in a box. (theres maybe 20-30 colors in there). And did the same with my painters pens (I have around 40 or so). Used a paint brush to grey up everything. Making extra efforts to layer on the grey on the horns and places where the shading/lighting needed to be. Let it dry maybe 5-10 minutes so it still damp. Then I took a cream/tan color and mixed it with some grey and started to apply the lighting. I started to pull the paint out of the canvas and layer the cream color into the grey, you can see it in some parts where its like 4 shades fading or so. After that I just let it dry up for a day. Next day I got some brick red and some maroon color and mixed them together for the blood on the outside. I really dislike the control/accuracy I get from a paintbrush so it didn't turn out how I envisioned. So I started to drop droplets of the red color all over and then splashing it around to create more action like I wanted. We didn't have any black, so I took grey, blue, and brown to make the dark areas. I was originally going to outline everything with a black painters pen, but I'm not so sure it would look as good. I kind of like it without the hard edges, what do you think?
