So I was just enjoying a normal day at university when all of a sudden a wild South Korean food import store popped up in the middle of my Student Union O.O. (Reading University, I'm a fresher :D!)
So the first thing I did was go in (I was the only non asian inside lol) and grab a Pocari Sweat which turned out to be an "Ion Supply Drink." I had always assumed it was a energy drink for some reason. It tasted interesting, sweet like citris but then a bit salty at the same time. Was odd.
Anyway, what food can you guys reccomend to go in there and pick up? Any Korean delicacies that I would be able to pick up at a store like that?

ummm if you like instant noodles get some korean ramen (ramyun?)
could be abit spicy if you're not used to taking spicy food

korean ramen def, and obvs kimchi. try gettin a recipe for their short ribs, so gud

I really like their steak-flavored cheetos for some reason. Aloe juice is also good
And yeah Pocari Sweat tastes pretty interesting haha, it's good though.

ahahah Pocari Sweat Bring out the inner Flash~ Yeah it's kind of like gatorade
Try tasting their crackers/chips Banana Kicks, Sae oo Kang (Shrimp flavored), Chang gu, Go rae bap, Choco Pie, and a whole lot more Everything is good~

in general, asian drinks are a lot better than american stuff, and its (most likely) not horrifyingly "ethnic" (i.e. probably a lot harder to find dog flavored soda than chips)

Kimchi mandu! Get the round, almost soggy kind you boil, not the hard-shelled fried type you fry!

QFT. I absolutely love Korean food. And not trying to be biased or anything. but...... Korean food > American food so...... keep buying food till you're just broke........And try buying only in small amounts, cause if u buy in large amounts, you'll run out of money too quickly

If it's at the price it is in Korea... do it.
|
Most of the stuff here in Korean *markets regardless of produce or import or local is relatively more expensive.
|
^This, just cause they see American prices and realize they can charge them. Shit's still worth it though, love me that ramen, banana milk, Milkis, etc. Those are just the snack foods though since based on your post I think that's all they carry? But by all means if they have takeout fresh food stuff try that shit as well.
