The amount Milkis has DONE for this community completely outweighs any damage he's supposedly caused. What did he even do anyway? Piss some people off, boo hoo. It's not like he made sponsors leave. He didn't hurt your sanctimonious e-sports. You can call the apology insincere if you believe it, but hurting e-sports, lol. You're elevating the situation and being melodramatic for no reason.
Actually in a way he has been hurting e-sports at least sc2. Do you think if a sponsor that is deeply connected within the sc2 scene does not read TL? Lets say a sponsor reads all this Milkis drama and decided they don't want to sponsor sc2 events anymore because sc2's premier korean translator was very emotional and sprung up some hate. Sponsors don't want to sponsor a game whose top people are unprofessional.

Where's that inc/idra pic.

i dont see why the dude is apologizing. he thinks bw is awesome and sc2 sucks, who cares? so a bunch of angry nerds cried over it and criticized him, sounds like he's being oversensitive. why do their negative opinions matter. he should take a page out of idra's book and not give a fuck. this just seems like he's desperately seeking more attention.

Bleh... I am ambivalent.
On one hand I really think that Milkis could have been a little more discreet with his quitting, and less belting it out for the whole world to judge
But on the other hand, I love his contributions, his translations, his blogs after MLG, and his odds and ends articles...
So I guess gl hf... all the best

can someone link me to these outbursts?

Hahaha, so true ^^
I hope you pursue some nice supply side economics in your research, Milkis <3 We all still love you!

I just took notice of the whole situation and read what Milkis had to say in his reddit post.
... turns out he was mildly elitist about BW scene, change money compared to a lot of stuff I've read in past few days in posts like this or this.
Double standards anyone?

HEY BRO.
I'M PROBABLY GOING TO GET BANNED FOR THIS, BUT
THERES JUST SOME SHIT IN YOUR POST I GOTTA DEAL WITH.
I'm writing this because I believe that BRO THERE'S TWO INDEPENDENT CLAUSES HERE. YOU HAVE TO USE A COMMA IN CONJUNCTION WITH YOUR CONJUNCTION.
I specifically would like to apologize to djwheat and Slasher specifically. You're better than this, man.
know that there exists a comment on IRC from the TL Staff Channel that suggests otherwise but if the person had read the comments that came afterwards they'd have realized I made the comment simply because of what had happened (IE: My poor choice of words created a lot of backlash) not because I stirred something up on purpose. HOLY SHIT, BREAK THIS SHIT UP
That's one thing that I really want to clear that specifically. I KNOW YOU'RE EMOTIONAL BUT COME ON
for creating such a drama. This is fine, but I feel that "such drama" would be more idiomatic. I admit that I can only represent American English.
I have no idea what I'm trying to accomplish nor what I even want The combination of "nor" and "even" is kind of awkward here; I feel that you should avoid unbalancing a nor construction with a superlative.
It's a flaw that I always had "It's a flaw I have always had"
slowly overtaken me. overtake
AND SO ON. I KNOW ITS EMOTIONAL BUT EDITING SHOULD BE IN YOUR BLOOD. PEACE AND LOVE MILKIS!!!!!

oh also this has been annoying for a lot of people who are actually contributing to the community, like tl banlings and djwheat and all the people who had to actually deal with this drama, but if you're just spectating this shitshow then complaining... you could've, yknow, ignored it? if you hated the drama but didn't ignore it, you should consider this a lesson! cuz god knows there's always gonna be drama.
also theres people like kennigit who live on this shit

The only thing I really knew about milkis was he translated the story of when MC chased down some pick pocket and ever since that moment I loved milkis, Whether or not you hate the sc2 scene and hate starcraft 2, I still love you and thanks for all the translation you have ever done, good luck in your life...

I specifically would like to apologize to djwheat and Slasher specifically. Ahhh i wish you didn't say that bit.
I'm still shocked that Milkis came off as the bad guy in all of this, and not Wheat.
