Never thought I'd agree with Idra on anything, but he's got it totally right here. Terrible read. Real situation: - Extremely passionate about something - Suddenly gets paid for it and earns a lot of fans and respect - Gets inflated ego, feels he deserves more than he's getting - Meanwhile, posts something that isn't well-received - Pulls ripcord It happens to everyone. I've been through this cycle a few times. It's just a matter of how well you can resist #3 and #5. Is being a translator on TL a paid position? I thought it was 100% volunteer work. Did he ask TL to pay him(more?) to continue getting his translations?

next time you decide to bring a korean player to a foreign event, make sure the player wins the event. Nestea or MVP only please.

I don't think IdrA ever wrote an apology or denied ever being a douchebag.

He's not paid on TL whatsoever

Dude if you are going to flame out and leave then don't keep making drama threads. This is literally the worst possible way to go out.
Have you ever seen a low-league zerg who can't make up their mind about whether they should engage or run away? And they run their zerglings and mutas back and forth while the marines get free shots? And in the end they should have just done one thing or the other but due to the indecision everything was made much worse? That's you right now. You are those zerglings running in circles in front of marines.

I can't say I agree with any of what you said but I love the analogy

Milkis you are a nice guy, don't ever let the haters and trolls get to you. Thanks for all you have done to help Koreans in foreign events and all the stuff you have translated over your career. <3

Wow, I don't think I've ever imagined a more ridiculous analogy, that at the same time, could precisely illustrate the situation at hand. Well presented.

I drove 12 hours to Orlando simply to try to get signatures from the old BW legends that I knew would be there (July & Boxer). I approached July literally four times at the event (when he bothered to come out from the back or the stage area at all) and he was constantly with Milkis. I was told not now, later in the event the first three times. The last time was after his elimination match when I saw him sign two shirts before Milkis came over to him. Once Milkis was there, I held up my pen and Milkis said "No, he won't sign now he's upset after losing you understand?" without even talking to July at all. (I was next to July the entire time) Thankfully Boxer and Jessica held signings several times on their own, so I do have a sweet Boxer sig. I understand that Milkis has to keep these guys on a tight schedule, but man I won't ever get to meet July again. Freaking made me really mad at the time. Definitely. From what I've heard, IdrA is the nicest guy ever to his fans who meet him in person. I met Idra once at IEM and I was shocked how nice he was. Have been a huge fan ever sinc. PS. Sorry... I know this is a "bit" offtopic....
Of course IdrA is nice in person, he what... 5'8" 145 lbs.?

Good on you Milkis, shows a lotta maturity to apologize like this. I wish you all the best in your academic career, although I'll miss your contributions to SC none the less!

Thanks for all of your contributions, Milkis. Hope to see you back soon. Also, don't take yourself so seriously, man. You will be such a happier person. (I know this is cliche and stuff but I really do mean it)

It saddends me that this arrogant kid gets all the attention and support from TL'ers instead of many people that are behind the scenes who have contributed to the community WAY more than him for basically free. What have this kid done for the community to create such drama? Translated in a couple of MLG's? BFD...

I must be completely out of the loop on TL drama because it took me a bunch of searching to figure out what this was about; I didn't even recognize your name. I read some of your translations so thanks for those! Volunteer work is respectable and I hope you realize that it's very much appreciated.
Good luck with whatever you do and hope you come back sometime.
