People wouldn't give him one so he decided to create the drama to create more sympathy when he quit. There's a difference between "I quit because I am burned out/bored" and "Look! The community made me quit because the community is a bunch of dbags and I am tired of dealing with them!" That actually makes perfect sense. He kept complaining about how he was always tired or whatever. It's like a WoW player flaming all of his friends, quitting the guild and selling the character. Everything fits.

It's okay though. Take a step back. Take care of yourself. You will be missed.

I never wanted to be popular nor did I want attention (although I guess I did enjoy it, but it's not something I ever wanted). It's the last thing I wanted. All I wanted to do was bring you guys good content, and I always just wanted the means to do so. I wanted to do a lot of nice things for the community because I was capable of doing it and seeing you guys appreciate the content was always good enough. Why else would I take on any of these extra works, or brainstorm a ton of new things I could do for the community? Sadly, none of these will come to fruition anymore but I guess it doesn't even matter. Ok, so you didn't want attention yet you went out of your way to translate, and do other work? I mean were your original plans to not make your work available to the community? I mean if you didn't want any attention, then why did you bother putting in all the effort? I also like how you ended this with "none of these(your work) will come to fruition anymore, but I guess it doesn't matter." It sends out the idea "feel sorry for me." I'm not being a hate by any means, I just don't like your farewell post. I have enjoyed your reports, and translating for some time now. I may not agree with your opinion on a lot of things, but regardless you provided good content over the years.

your post on reddit was an attempt to pander to an audience beyond the scope of your understanding, who have many experiences you don't have, and your elitism wasn't taken kindly because you expressed it in a childish way that was insulting to the people who have experienced completely legitimate competition in other games that you were arguing are basically invalid to you because not enough people who don't even play the games enough to appreciate it in its entirety watch. but what does that have to do with you in your entirety? everyone has good and bad about them. you spoke about something you have no fuckin clue about at all, and you're immature for that. but you're also generous and kind, immensely more than the average person. i would consider the sum of the qualities that i've seen in you in my limited understanding to be overall positive. you deserve to be criticized for your negatives, and likewise praised for your positives. unfortunately, your immaturity seems to be leading to an irrational misunderstanding that people are "turning" on you or something. that's not what is happening. they are simply judging your words and actions as they appear in front of them. you are an amazing person for what you did for MKP and for MLG, and you are an ignorant person for what you wrote. overall, i think you would be much better off in life in general if when you get upset at people, you think to yourself, "maybe getting upset over this is the result of me being immature and not seeing the whole picture?" because it seems like a trend which you seem to exhibit. i'm not trying to be a psychologist or anything about this, but it's sad to see you go, because you are a good thing for this community and probably any community you ever latch yourself onto because of your kindness, and i selfishly want you to keep latched onto SC2.

If you still feel this way in a few days, then I suggest you keep going away and don't look back. Coming back from this probably is not gonna be easy, so you will need a pair of balls to handle it. Anyways, thanks for what you contributed to the community.

But seriously, he gets to hangout with Korean progamers all day at MLGs and feels "exhausted"? Really? Doesn't that just stink of unappreciation? If I got to do that, and paid to do so, I'd be the happiest guy ever, no matter how "exhausted" I am. Does he think he's the only guy at MLG that gets exhausted? What about all the other staff members that happily do their jobs? Most of them nowhere near as cool as what Milkis gets to do. If you followed his Twitter, you'd see how negative he is towards the western esports scene, so much so that I stopped following him. Anything that threatened his precious Korean scene he treated as the devil. Yes, he's done a lot of the community, and for that we need to be appreciative. But if he can't deal with this criticism, which is nowhere near what Slasher or iNcontroL get, then he doesn't belong where he is, he doesn't seem to appreciate it anyway. I'm not going to cry over losing him. You just shat away your career in esports and I hope the community doesn't let you back in if you chose to come back. You obviously don't have the balls for it.

Now do you deserve all the shitty comments that fired up people wrote in that thread? No, but to suddenly get all surprised and pissed about it is quite childish. I'm sure you'll see all this from another perspective in a few days, and regret what you just did. If you still feel this way in a few days, then I suggest you keep going away and don't look back.
