I know there's a lot of hype for Guild Wars 2, and I just wanted to let everyone know that we are streaming Guild Wars 1 commentary for the Automated Monthly Tournament for this month. Unfortunately the main thing holding GvG back at the moment is lack of players. The American scene is on its dying days (only 3-4 contenders for 1st each month). The European scene is pretty active still, but the game as a whole is nowhere near as active as it used to be. | ||

From the couple games I've watched it seems like a good meta. Not a huge number of spikes, but they're there (finals was hilarious). As I said, I like the balanced pressure build that seems to be pretty popular, and the prevalence of rangers makes my heart happy. The cripshot was by far my favorite character, both to watch and play. Though those split mesmers boggle my mind. I guess I may be (far) behind the curve on skills, but a mesmer on split? And not dying instantly? And doing useful things? Glad to see its doing well. I'm guessing most people are looking forward to GW2 though? Considering the lack of players, it seems that that will mark the end of GW. EDIT: Also, wtf happened to VoD? This new mechanic is too weird, based on damage to guild lord? At first glance, not really a fan, how does it play? | ||
