I think you are a great translator and nothing would please me more if you reconsidered the decision to call it quits. I am saddened that the haters and trolls won and not the people who wants an intelligent and peaceful discussion. I thank you for all that you done. I am still a fan.

None of the reactions should have surprised you, nor should they have gotten under your skin so much. Leaving like this is.. well, it's kind of pathetic to be honest.

I dont really see your logic either, Reddit for one worships you, I dont think i have ever seen an unkind or unincouraging word said about you on it (Which is unique). See you next week when you remake

Hell, the reactions to this very blog post (which is game "neutral" and it's a completely different topic anyway) aren't much better. Even if he posted it in the TL BW forum, do you really think people who disagree with him wouldn't read it anyway and respond to it much in the same way? That's optimistic to say the least. The bottom line is, Milkis is the kind of person who can post an informed and educated opinion on something, and has done enough for the community and been around long enough to warrant everyone who responds to first think long and hard before disagreeing, and even if they disagree to do it in a respectful manner. 98% of the people in that thread posted in an acceptable manner. He posted a very controversial and drastic piece of opinion, so he is going to get rather drastic comments. The remaining 2% stepped over the line but that's got nothing to do with Reddit or TL, that's just how the internet works.

Honestly when you make post with "elitist" in the title, you know you're just asking for negativity. When you receive the criticism, you delete your post and twitter it makes look stupid. Not sticking by your words and go into "hiding" so to speak. I'm not trying to be rude or anything but this makes you come off as weak. And if you leave the whole scene because of this well then, its just survival of the fittest. Don't get me wrong, I appreciated what you did for MKP/reddit thing, but if you can't take the heat for this, then this scene doesn't need weak people in it. That being said, I hope you don't leave because of this incident, but if you do leave it will show what kind of person you are.

I'm so confused. What is this opinion you keep talking about that is supposedly elitist and why exactly do you think that's the reason forum dwellers make fun of you? And why do you care?

Milkis has done a lot of good things for esports, and I still respect him for that. Disappointingly thin-skinned though... I suppose that's to be expected of someone who (in the best sense of the word) was an amateur in a place full of professionals. <3 Milkis

His post was neither informed nor educated, and instead contended that his interests trumped those of other people. Community members like djWheat and the countless others who have spent a decade+ of their lives promoting games of all kinds have every right to strongly criticize Milkis for ignorant elitism (which, as hinted at by the presence of elitist in the title of his post, clearly indicates that Milkis was well aware of how lacking in critical perspective his statements were). Milkis posted blatant fanboyism, and fanboyism is what he got in return.

I understand perfectly. You believe Milkis needs to change his attitude. You believe that us as a community must reassure him that he has done a adequate job translating. If he wants to become comfortable enough again to return to the scene, that is all on him, not the community. Just because I strongly disagree with what your saying does not mean I haven't read or misunderstood your posts. What your saying is quite simply, and frankly in my opinion what your suggesting the community to do is not in our best interests. Milkis attitude is his issue to fix, we should not be required to give him bull-shit happy and love felt comments to convince him to stay. If he is going to give up this easily then I don't even want him to stay. Weak people like this have no business being in the public eye, especially when it's representing something I love such as e-Sports. In the end it makes us all look bad.
