you can't tow boats in a row oO they ground up on the inside of turns. rivers are not rails, they don't hold you in position like rails do for trains.

Yeah, searching 'barge Margaret' yielded the year 2009 so I got momentarily confused about the timeline. I would have expected the company to try to have resolved the thing immediately (or at least within few months) instead of letting it seat for two years or something :p
