I didn't think that any of my YT channels were worth a shit, and I just received this email. At first I thought it might be a scam but the URL seems legit. Is this just an informational thing though?

i got the same thing, and ive only uplaoded like 20 or so videos in my 5 years or so of having an account, only with like one of those videos getting over 1000 views. i think its a meaningless automated message based on some random numbers that worked out somehow.

but that's weird considering the other main account I have http://www.youtube.com/user/Spore5006 is about the same age and stuff but has more content and views and stuff
I have an account with 3 videos that I haven't updated in 3 years, yet I too have gotten one of these monetization emails. Granted, one of my videos has 16k views just because of it getting lucky with its title, but I don't really plan on using the account any time in the future.
