People like that exist since the beginning of the world.

He should have forcefielded the thief on the track and blink out with impunity.

France is notorious for pickpockets and petty thieves. Well Paris, mostly. Also, not very safe for girls alone at night unfortunately.

I expected it to be like other public systems in the world however I was very surprised at the disgraceful acts of the people travelling, The only thing I can say is at least you weren't in Rome!! Rome makes Paris look like a god-send!! Hehe, Rome is still harmless compared to Naples/Napoli. Awww I wanna go to Paris/Rome/Spain/England and German for once in my life. May be Sweden or Swiss too One persons experience is hardly indicative from what you can expect. I actually felt the subway in Paris to be charming with the music being played (although the people weren't as friendly as in Lyon or other major French cities) and had no problems with Rome either. I stayed a month in both cities so while I don't travel there often I did get to know the cities quite well. Also Paris may be too big to walk around, but they have a wonderful bike system you can use and Rome is small enough you can just walk around to most places (of course this depends on the place you're staying). Now that I think about it. What surprised me most about Rome is rather how safe it all felt, I walked around the city at absolutely ridiculous hours. Hours at which I should be looking over my shoulder in my own city (Rotterdam) and yet nothing felt threatening or dangerous.
The french subway is a fucking nightmare. Those steel gates crashing together when entering the subway scare the living hell out of me. I feel like I'm about to be smashed into pieces every time they slam together an inch from my face :<
