Battle.net doesn't have problems, but it doesn't mean that things would not run more smoothly if it was played on Lan (where basically only the stream needs Internet).
And m2e, quit the attitude. Lol "the attitude". Why, because im calling you out for being misinformed? Don't get offended because you don't know what you're talking about.

Yes LAN would make things easier but is not the reason why this and many other events have faced delays. They can obviously stream something, so could IPL when internet was down. LAN would have fixed the delay we had at IPL and this one. Though I don't really care, just found your arguments bs.
That's bullshit, if the internet is down you can't stream, if you can't stream you can't play the games either.

what do you mean "you're not buying this". You think they would intentionally withhold the games from us? Isch dont think so

standard at IEM. they don't show every game, they'll just delay those that are going to be shown.

i wouldnt call that watching...its lagging like hell

I cant seem to switch between i.e 360 and 720 etc.. hmm.. Anyone know how to do this? Usually there is a button in the bottom right/left..

They aren't delaying it because of issues with SC2, they're delaying the streams because of the upload speed. They can't stream without good upload rates.
|
guys they are obviously lying dont u understand that?
their stream works just fine we can see that and they are playing the games, so the connection is obviously fine.
edit: someone must have fucked something else up, internet obv. isnt the problem if they can stream and play.

well basically they are not saying the games are delayed just the SHOW is

a delay on a major offline event, WOW Im so surprised -.-

So sad T__T Unfortunately, fiber optic infrastructure is completely unrelated to population density. In fact, city development tends to stand in the way of infrastructure upgrades. Pathetic, but that's what's going on.
As an example, my university is in the middle of nowhere, but happens to be on the high-tech corridor, so my personal internet is 16mb down, 5 up and about 3-5x better than people in much larger cities that aren't on the fiber optic corridor.

Keep an eye on RotterdaM's twitter: twitter.com/rotterdam08 I'll post a few here and there when he's afk: twitter.com/mrbittertv The only games being played right now are the ones that we didn't plan to stream in the first place. Strife > Gatored 2-0 1-1 Attero / Killer dKiller was up 1-0 over Sjow last time I checked And I'll post more as I get them. edit: And to be 100% clear The internet issues we are having are here at the venue. We need about 1.5 mbit upload, but right now we're only able to push about 600 kbits. This means laggy, spikey streams that no one wants to watch. In the interest of showing all the good games, we're waiting to see if we can get it fixed. If the delays continue to stack up, though, we might just push a lower quality stream and hope for something better tomorrow. Thank you for the informations about the situation. I hope you'll get dat upload boost

Bit of an update:
Some dude just walked in the front door with like 2,000 feet of cable that's plugged into some main line in the street.

Hopefully once they plug that in, we can rock this shit.
