So.... Let me introduce myself! I'm a junior in highschool at a tech school and there's a school right across the street from me. BASICALLY, I got a buddy I met last year and he's a sophomore now. We've become great friends and he's super nice, and we play LoL together a lot. Both, easily 1500 players slowly moving up. Being so, I haven't had the time really for much SC2 lately. Anyways, my buddy used to go to the school across the street from us and he ended up getting in an argument with some kid from his old school over facebook. My buddy Kyle simply posted a picture of his match history(LoL nerds, ik) and then this kid and his friend started bashing on my friend Kyle. Telling him that he sucked at LoL(this other kid is only lvl 13 in LoL!!) and that he should play a real game, like SC2. This kid's flaunting about how good he is, says he's in Gold League like he's a bigshot and he's got a team for the mlg(LOL AGAIN). Well, me being the great friend I am to my friend Kyle told him I got his back in whatever. NOT MEANING ANYTHING BY THAT, my friend told Kyle he got a friend who will beat this kid. That kid is me. I'm in Bronze league right now, but I was a D+ in SC:BW and can hit an APM of 250 within a week of sturdy practice. Match is scheduled in 2 weeks, I play Protoss.
Oh, and this game has taken on a huge persona. It's almost a battle between the schools, we're the best in our respective schools.
Post your thoughts, advice, videos, guides, whatever you want here. I'll probably stream the game.

How did you end up in bronze after being D+ on iccup?
|
Have some high masters player play on your account for you to make it even funnier.
|
Um... It had been almost a year since I played? Idk it's been a whle, but nonetheless I find bronze to be pretty easy. Still trying to figure out what all the units do xD And the key combinations but after 2 weeks of hardcore laddering I feel like this will be pretty easy.

Good luck. I don't see you improving to a platinum level in 2 weeks...
In fact, you shouldn't even accept the challenge. If the best this other kid can do is say 'play a real game like sc2' tell him to play you in broodwar.

Exactly. D+=Masters. A-=Platinum.
I'm actually not being sarcastic for once.
Then again, BW and WoL are basically two different games. Being good with one doesn't mean you're good with the other, same goes for being bad though.

I was only D on iccup and i placed in platnum. Your the best in your school and your bronze?

Wow you guys are burtal =/ I hadn't played Sc in a year, maybe 2. I didn't know the units, buildings, structures, or anything, I played 2 practice matches then the placement, look up my account lol everiscale. I'm not lying to you

Just maphack, np. And when Kyle asks you how you beat him say: "...with mind bullets. That's telekinesis, Kyle."
edit: i dont actually think you should maphack

good luck I guess? Sounds like some people have a misguided sense of importance.

lol kids this days
If you ladder for 2 weeks straight around 2-3 hours (10 games) , that is without fooling around and actually comitting i can almost promise youll hit gold/plat if not more depending on how fast you can learn, oh yeah i recomend grinding out 1 (yes only 1) build for all 3 matches and preferably a FE (fast expand) build that wya you will train your macro, mechanics and cheese defence, oh yeh and if hes bragin he must be some high silver-just hit gold

Start 1v1 solo mid challenge, when you lose tell him LoL is for casuals, and play SC2. Then Bo5 SC2, when you lose tell him SC2 is for casuals, and play BW. Then Bo5 BW, when you lose tell him BW is for casuals, and play War2, etc.
Foolproof.

Foolproof. Where does it all end, though? Pong? IDK, probably rock paper scissors. Or you could tell him that he wouldn't understand, but by losing all the games he won the greater battle.
