The last search did not completed.[sic] -- Most likely the search timed out, or encountered a server error. You can retry the search at any time. What have I done wrong? (I'm using the standalone flavour.)

Out of curiosity, is Twitch.tv supported? I know it's part of JTV, so I assume the back-end stuff works the same for both. I ask this mainly because some streamers have switched to using Twitch and I'd love to see them in this player. Keep up the awesome work!

Autorefresh - will do. I am planning custom searches anyways (where you can group, for example, ON AIR, non featured *and* a search for string). 2. Events/notification system is in progress. Will incorporate support when a new stream appear online and a list of bookmarked/favorite streams, so when a new stream appears online *and* is in favorite list, will notify user (sound, popup etc.) This will take a while (I am out of town now) but will do it. Many thanks for suggestions!

Props for making it, though. For sure what's on TL site will be the maximum, there's no extra value in content, but just a barebone convenient client which does simple operations. But you're welcome to try it (btw, Firefox 7.0.1 is opening in 20 secs in my monster machine while tlplayer opens instantly; that was one of the many reasons to do it besides a lot of fun and watching streams).

On October 04 2011 17:41 NB wrote: how the ads work with the programs? Is it like a mini browser or you are just embed IE in it? edit: nvm 2nd question, you embed mini flash player yeah? It is an IE embedded which uses a custom in-memory HTML tailored for providers (i.e. for a justin.tv HTML will embed their flash, for livestream.com another flash etc). Flash is not directly embedded (too much pain for now to do it) but I considered it. Also I have versions which uses Chrome or Firefox for embedding - the reason to use IE for now is the download size (IE is for now already on user machine, while CEF - Chrome Embedding Framework - is 15 MB release libcef.dll + ICU dlls, and this is too much for a barebone client). The ads comes directly from flash player, I'm not doing anything for this.

Although you are competiting with www.teevox.com which is a very good multi-stream watching site, just bear that in mind Didnt knew about teevox - thanks for suggestion. But for now I'm not planning to compete with an entire business a teevox for sure is - I'm a single guy working on this after my two jobs and I try to keep this simple and offer the minimum for watching TL streams. Thanks for feedback!

Win32 (no 64 bit flash AFAIK so it makes little sense for now) and C++ only, Visual Studio 2010. MT CRT library, IE 7 or better recommended. Probably I will make it open source when in beta and a more civilized source and less harcoded things present; also I would like to consult the TL guys first since this is, as they say at the beginning - "This is our home". And I try to respect that... I asked them if I should implement ads in the client so they site will be supported - heck, they can even ask me to see source code first or tell me to forget about the client. And I will do it if they will tell me to do so.

Any other things you would like to see besides channel and viewers count? Sort descending for viewers or things like that? Thanks for feedback!

[sic] - I am not a native speaker as you probably realized can you tell me how is correct?) Usually this means a network related error, but can also be a simple bug in search. Can you tell me more about what search have you done, OS version, IE version ? this can help me tracking the error. On the other hand, I will add error logging (useful for reporting back) and a crash handler as well. Thanks for feedback.
