Exactly! I'm disgusted by how much lag is downplayed. Select is the far better player than Inka but it was clear that he couldn't micro. It's one thing to compliment Inka on his micro, but its another to actually make the assumption that Inka has better micro than Select when Select was clearly handicapped.

I actually enjoy the players in NASL this season, its nice to see the non koreans featured and shinning once in a while instead of always getting stomped. Its more what NASL should be imo, we have GSL for seeing koreans and MLG and other tourneys for seeing a nice mix of the two. However, the one thing that keeps me from watching NASL everyday is.. the casting to be honest.
I respect how hard they work and stuff but I just find the casting boring and it makes me only want to watch matches with players I like a lot. The way gretorp talks I find a bit boring and his jokes often too forced and awkward. He also tries to be so politically correct and praise every player etc. I usually don't mind this as much, because I don't mind one serious caster but the problem is the guys this season with Gretorp all seem to have a similar mellow personality and style to him, unlike even Incontrol who added some amusement. Orb and LZ are decent enough but they are also so chillax, serious and pc like gretorp.
Imo they really need to match gretorp, lz or orb up with a guy with a lot of personality and flavor and excitement, the tasteless, day9s, incontrol, husky, totalbiscuit etc type (artosis too but hes a freak genius, hes both types of casters at once hilarious but also highly informative/serious).

No mention of mOOnGLaDe.

Are you sure week1 is freely available to anyone? No matter how or where I try to watch it I'm asked to subscribe before I can see it. I'm following NASL on twitch and I'm logged in when I try to watch but it's not working neither through their twitch site or straight from NASL.tv
If anyone can get it to work please say how :/

If anyone can get it to work please say how :/ The VoDs are not freely available anymore since week 2 started (the 2nd day of week 2 iirc). You can either watch one of the free lq broadcasts or buy the ticket.

Well i dont watch this season because for one, quality korean players gone means less quality games, and second, thumbed down graphics from 480 free to 360 is too much especially since there are no koreans left anymore, and since i only watch top level games from top level players there is not much reason for me to buy ticket..

wait, what...? i thought iNkA was with QxG and not EG

Let's get a couple things straight though. (1) iNkA did have really good control in that series, (2) He played a very solid series overall, defended well against drops and made good decisions, (3) SeleCT's micro didn't just evaporate, his macro did too. I think iNkA very much deserved that series win. If you watch him play, he's quite a bit better than people know, especially for a NA player.
Also, this is a good write-up! Good work writers!

How can you expect other posters to stop player bashing when an admin does it himself?

Indeed, the casters really go out of their way to refuse to acknowledge the lag issue. In the Fenix vs White-Ra match, both players very clearly complaiend about lag in chat, and Gretorp went so far as to say "oh, they're congratulating each other" or something along those lines (don't remember exact quote, but he was denying that there was lag). It doesn't look very serious really. This denial is also reminescent of NASL's attitude towards technical issues during the first season ("the audio is fine" during the finals for instance)... Not a good thing.

The main reason I am not following season 2 is the casting. As someone else mentioned I also find it very boring and too "polite". Sorry but I just dont think Gretorp is entertaining enough to cast such a big league. I am glad though that I tuned in just when Rain vs Cloud started. That were some great games.

Nice write up thanks for the recap I as I don't have time to watch NASL (GSL already takes a lot of my free time).

Holy shit this intro is amazing O___O

Felt like Demuslim wasn't getting much love in this article. I've never seen someone turn around their worst matchup so quickly. He's now incredibly comfortable in long macro games, but he's not afraid to chuck in a cheese or two, which is always dangerous. His TvP was always his best matchup before his arm broke, and he took down Trickster at the last MLG. Its between him and Hero for Div 1 easily.

Good writeup. I'm enjoying this season way more than the last one. But paradoxically, I watch nasl less this season. But I like the casters, the production, which wasn't always the case las tseason. It's just that I don't care too much if I miss a game. Anyway, good job to the nasl team, your second chance article is spot on.

Dimaga vs. HasuObs Game One was a good long game, havent seen one of those in a while
