Now watching! Nice skills...I was always pretty terrible at this game. I assume that after enough play it just becomes an exercise in pattern recognition?

Well u want to be accurate, and not click somewhere without being sure of the move, However, you want to finish the map with as little flags on it as possible because if u click every number on the board, it fills in the rest of the bombs for you.
World record is 38 seconds. Anything below 60 is retarded fast.
OP's only flaw is the fact that he trys to flag every bomb, instead of just ignoring it and clicking where hes sure there is a number.
I think my old record was like either 75 or 105, I can't remember which now its been like 4-5 years since I played and it was on the old computer. I remember spending hours in a row sometimes just trying to break that fucking time by a second at a time.
I know a guy that's in/was top 100 in the world I think. He doesn't use flags, says it's faster without them. He's sickly fast and accurate. You're fast, but his mouse movement is just warp speed. :D

Its not always faster, it depends, if you flag a mine and sweep thats 2 clicks that can account for as much as like 4-6 clicks worth. You don't flag EVERY mine but you want to flag some to be as fast as possible.

it's probably closer to 105 if you can't remember a 30 second difference is exponential in terms of speed and skill
