STX isn't all bad but if Jaedong went there I expect Jaedong would continue to suffer. On the other hand if he goes to a team that already wins often, I think his gameplay will improve which is good for fans. STX would likely be paying a lot of money they should spend on other players because I don't think Jaedong can do very well with them (he'll do okay, but it'll be overpriced). Jaedong with Flash would be interesting, but if that happened I don't know if anyone in proleague would have an answer to KT besides SKT (since Bisu is basically the Jaedong sniper). I don't feel like Jaedong will move to SC2. I think he's got one more milestone to pass with BW, which is to get a 4th OSL win (never been done before) which will define his skill (especially since these days Flash is getting put into a category higher than him by a lot of people). He's still going pretty deep into the leagues, so that's something that's hard to let go of. If he lets go of it, I think he'll let go of professional games all together. For a competitor like Jaedong, SC2 doesn't offer much prestige right now, so I would be truly shocked if Jaedong did that. I think bogus/calm/shuttle/hyvaa is a big improvement for backup compared to killer/hiya/shy/perfectman. especially with bogus, STX can put out a reliable terran player on ace maps instead of always having to play JD no matter what (ever since 2008 winners league ended, hiya was never able to step it up like how forgg did back when he was on Oz). trying to think rationally though, the only teams that could honestly afford JD right now are STX and maybe KHAN. KT and SKT1 probably can't afford another S-class player (or can they? lol) and CJ seems pretty stacked with effort/hydra/leta (not sure how much they are being paid though). it'd probably be most fun/balanced if JD was put on a new team created out of the 3 disbanded teams (jd/baby/shine/sea sounds pretty good, and if wookie went there too and proves to become a strong new protoss, that'd be really great).
oh man post just reminded me about shy. poor guy was having his break out season and then to have his team disband just as he's finally catching a break what a shame.

The KT fan complaining about the amount of money SKT spends is very amusing.
I'm still holding out for Jaedong to be playing for Korean Air next season... ... if not that, then to CJ with HiyA. Jaedong, HiyA, Leta is like my dream team of adorable cuteness.

Khan has never been a team to spend, there were issues with JangBi and Stork, because they were basically trying to short them their due. However, with great leaving, and JangBi winning an OSL, maybe they'll spend for once?
I don't really see CJ spending on Jaedong, because they've always had deep rosters and developed home-grown talent.
Maybe KT? I'm sure Flash would be all for it. Flash had previously said he joined another team it would be Hwaseung to be in the same time with JD. However, Flash has seemingly surpassed him now so maybe thats no longer true. KT did just re-contract Flash, but with JD onboard they may finally break all their curses. However, maybe they have faith in HoeJJa's development?
STX? They are restructuring their team and potentially have the most money available, but I don't know how much STX is willing to spend.
SKT? They probably have the money, but (last I heard) they still hadn't fully completed Bisu's new contract so I don't know if they decide to let Bisu walk and make a grab at JD or try to sign both. Would be difficult, but possible.
So where will JD end up? No idea. Let's wait and see ^^
(God, I swear there were more teams with sponsors, but its only those 4.. BW.. TT_TT)

most optimum outcome is to combine wemade fox,oz ,mbc the whole line up will be so stack .

a player of jaedong's calibre would bring an amazing amount of hype to the stagnating pro sc2 scene in korea.
either way, people look too deep into netizen rumors/comments. of course jd is just visiting his old lecaf team mates -_-

JD move to STX after kal leaves. Ironic that Kal will remain JD's bitch. Combining FOX with JD would make fox a stronger vZ team in general. I don't think mbc will be affected much though.

Hell no.
Considering the number of SC2 players that are former BW pros, it's not surprising to see famous BW players visit old buddies once in a while.
And the SC2 Korean scene simply doesn't have same amount of money floating around as BW yet. So unless Jaedong feels he's rich enough and can fool around, like Boxer or Nada, there's no way he's leaving BW yet. HotS or OGN broadcasting SC2 may change that, so we'll see what it's like next year.
If Oz is confirmed to disband, I hope he joins STX or some of the other weaker teams.

Since never. JD to Khan won't happen, as much as I'd like it to.
JD to STX is most likely I think. They give their players good salaries, and one of their top salaried players from last season is no longer on the payroll, freeing up money to pay Jaedong.
SKT and KT are, of course, always possibilities. I really, REALLY hope that doesn't happen.

Can't help but really hope he switches to SC2. It would be so hype.
|
Jaedong to STX would be nice. No to KT or SKT. Rivalries and matches between big names are what make Brood War great.
|
the most recent update on JD would be Oz played and losed a soccer game to SlayerS and Jeadong visit oGs/TL team house according to HuK's twitter
|
I hate these discussion because I love OZ Hope he goes to a team that will support him to get to his former power because I am sure he has been feeling down due to the disband so I hope the new team gets him back on his feet asap, whether it iS STX or KHAN (I hope)
and I REALLLLLLYY hope that KiLLeR goes to the same team as him, I love minidong + dong being together
|
I don't think Jaedong's parents would let him swap to SC2 or even continue to play BW for less than he is currently earning. I know there was a lot of fuss the last time his contract was up for negotiation.
|
I'd love to see JD playing for oGs or Samsung :D
|
Hopefully the teams just merge and STX and KHAN can get a decent player out of it too.
If a high caliber player went to CJ, KT, or SKT it would make proleague less enjoyable to watch.

the point is that even with star power, if a game isnt fun to watch, it still wont be fun to watch. even some of BWs most creative players cant do anything that makes it fun to watch. hype =/= a good spectator sport.

Why would KT need Jaedong? That have Hoejja. Duh.
Seriously though, if Jaedong and Flash were on the same team, then no more Flash v Jaedong in proleague ace matches
