2) Women were already into e-sports for a long time. This is not big news. Saying that you are a girl and not a guy is not meant to get attention but to let the community know that there is no more hiding. Girls & boys play sc2, nothing new there. We do get trolled but it is getting better. If you don’t say it, people will find out and then the story will repeat itself lol http://www.reddit.com/r/starcraft/comments/k29g1/women_in_starcraft_2/c2h2pfs ....It is not rocket science. PDthere are always exceptions)

I mean, take yourself as an example (hypothetical, of course). Clearly we all know who you are already as you're a very prominent figure in the StarCraft II scene. However, even if you weren't you could simply make a blog and mention that you're female and you'd probably become famous overnight. It's no secret that a female gamer announcing she's a female will instantly boost her followers/viewers/etc. Do you think this is fair practice? Or, as a female gamer yourself, do you feel this is a step backwards and causes people to take women less seriously?

I agreed If you post any topic with the title "Girl" in it, you will get over 3k hits in less than an hr. Sad fact It's no secret that a female gamer announcing she's a female will instantly boost her followers/viewers/etc. Do you think this is fair practice? Or, as a female gamer yourself, do you feel this is a step backwards and causes people to take women less seriously? I personally hate that. I got 0 respect for girls that purposely do that but again, that's the minority. And yes, it is a step backward and leave a really bad image to the rest of us. However, between tha or being trolled because you play, I honestly don't know whats worse. The last option is just stay as low profile as possible. Most of us learn how to pretend to be a guy so we don't get noticed. sad sad

I do apologise if this seems a little tactless, but it's better not to befuddle these things with guile.

Supporting the girl community is different from advertising that you are a girl for attention I used to be a pro gamer, so I know what they have to go through. Like I said before on my teams topic "We are not advertising that we are girls, we are advertising that girls do play games and we can be pretty good at it"

Women in SC vs Men in SC Both parties are right, but you can't generalize like that. ^^ My friend first impression of sc2 community was :" is everyone an *ss in this game?" ( she just said "hi ^.^" in a popular NA channel )
