The number 1 player losing to the number 2 player is not surprising (especially when it is their respective worst and best match-ups). Flash doesn't relinquish any claim to bonjwa status if he loses a bo3 Jaedong.

No but it does prove Nestea has never dominated for more than 3 weeks and it's it seems to win he has to dodge all the best terrans.(mma MVP etc). Doesn't sound very bonjwalike to me. He's number 1 in the TLPD Elo ratings. He has won 3 GSLs. One without a single loss. His overall winrate in SC2 is 70.3%. Compare that to Flash at 72.1% and Jaedong at 68.0% in BW. He's achieved a 20 win streak in code S.
I'm not really sure what people are expecting. No player is ever going to win every single game in every single tournament. No player ever did that in BW and no player will ever do it in SC2.

People said the same stuff when MC won 2 titles and I'm of the opinion that if Nestea is a bonjwa MVP and MC already were. MC had won 2 titles and dreamhack and copenhagen, boasting 70 percent + winrates in korea and international at one time. Also yes nesteas winrate is 70 percent but he hasn't played 600 games now has he?

This definitely cannot be quoted enough, IMO.
JulyZerg is a crazy guy, and man do I wish there were more Zerg players like him. The only others I can think of with the same amount of brilliant insanity are Dimaga, DRG, and Mondragon, all excellent BW Zergs as well.
One can only imagine the analogy Jaedong can get if he ever plays SC2.

@Condor Hero
My point is that MVP beating Nestea in a single BO3 supports neither of the following statements:
(i) Nestea is not a bonjwa. (ii) MVP is better than Nestea.
Whether you want to call Nestea a bonjwa or not, I don't really care. But I do take issue with the careers of BW bonjwas being seen through rose-tinted glasses.

I think if Nestea can get his ZvT to be able to compete with MVP, then he will be a good candidate. He's undeniably the best player against zerg and protoss, and he performs adequately against mid-tier ZvT, but has a tough time against top-tier ZvT.

Yup I have to agree with this. I am not saying that Nestea should be considered a Bonjwa now, but I think people shouldn't look at the fact that he isn't unbeatable. At the same time, it doesn't look good when a player like MVP can continually shut him down, even though MVP is an amazing player. Nestea having a relatively weak matchup does not help.

You're seriously comparing winrates in SC2 and BW? SC2 winrates are a bubble. Nestea's play doesn't even touch the genius plays of Flash. No insult to Nestea, but SC2 will have to develop far more to be able to compare with top BW players.
Also, I think it's too early to consider anyone a Bonjwa yet.
