He gets a fast third because he knows Zerg can't punish it while also being right at the Zerg's throat. His understanding of the matchup is unmatched but really there isn't anything exciting about it. You are absolutely correct. Just differing opinions, it seems. He almost reminds me of Flash. He's not nearly at Flash's caliber, but MVP's style is so reminiscent. That's basically why I like him so much. He's the closest thing to Lee Young Ho that I have for SC2. As for that fast third timing, I was surprised. I'm pretty sure that he landed the third CC before he scouted Nestea's own fast third. And as you said, he pushed despite the fact that he was expanding with Nestea. It was quite a tense moment. He was posturing, and that move could have backfired immensely, if he had actually committed to his timing. It was risky and exhilirating. His Combat Shields weren't even finished. XD But it is his style. So well said and enjoy the rest of GSL. : )

Agreed, they did not give MVP enough credit. Considering the fact that he crushed through Nestea to win the Finals of GSL January. They definitely hold a somewhat ignorant opinion of him. Though considering the amount of hype that Tastosis have been giving Nestea, and how eager the foreign scene has played up that hype, it's no wonder they forgot how MVP is superior to Nestea. Slumps notwithstanding, MVP always delivers the highest level play for me to view in the SC2 scene.

I was excited to go into game two and then . . . bunker rush. Oh well, NesTea is probably the person to blame the most there, but still. Oh I know, so abusive. Hahaha, I was hoping to watch a longer game too. But man that was a well timed rush. Z favored map, and 2nd game after a long first game. Blitz!

The last three GSLs that he won have to be back-to-back golds. At least, I consider this comparable to the SC:BW 본 좌 Lee "Flash" Young Ho.

Haven't seen a foreigner in Ro4 in a long time. Huk and MvP have played a lot in the past and I don't think I remember Huk even taking a game from him. But MvP relies on defending his 1 rax fe with 1 bunker a lot so if Huk decides to 4 gate or something it could be hard.

Too many Zergs drone like a teenage boy beating off in his room with one eye on the door in case his mum comes up the stairs, and then has to try and shove everything back in his pants at the last second when she does. With July, it's like he's noisily banging his girlfriend while yelling downstairs that his goddamn dinner had better be ready when he's done. Fucking priceless.

Ryung vs. Puzzle game 1 was insane! How long has it been since we've seen someone force 1 base play for 25 minutes like that? And on the current level of skill at that. Back when we were still close to Beta it could happen, but mostly because people were worse at the game. Keeping a game so close for so long that your opponent can't even afford 400 minerals for an expand is so damn impressive, I was blown away. But wth, Mvp exploiting a map flaw to beat Nestea is recommended? 2 bunker walls is clearly not intended to be a viable strategy, seeing as every major tournament uses maps that prevent such cheese. Yet that shitty map that stole our first opportunity in 7 months to see these 2 titans clash for more than a single real game gets 50/50 recommended? Bel'Shir Beach is a terrible map and should be removed from the GSL map pool. Edit: I've edited my post. I was completely reading the polls wrong. The 1 base vs. 1 base Ryung game was strongly recommended, I had actually already forgotten about game 2 so I was confused (and thought that the XNF game wasn't recommended) lol! Sorry guys, it makes perfect sense to not recommend that travesty of a 2nd game.

With no zergs left to knock out July in his weak MU, he has a good chance of taking this season.

Even if nestea is an overall more solid player, especially in the other matchups, July's heavy aggressive style might be just what it takes to knock MVP on his ass. Good luck taking a fast third against that kind of chaos. With no zergs left to knock out July in his weak MU, he has a good chance of taking this season. Well. July *is* the one that knocked Mvp into the Up/Down matches with 2 baneling busts in a row, iirc. And it was the season of Protoss/Kyderian Amulet (where the only non-Toss to win a set against Toss was July), March, so Mvp ended up facing 2 Toss in the Up/Downs and got sent to Code A. So yea, Mvp has a history of crushing Nestea (January), and July does have a history of crushing Mvp.

I thought NaDa was going to win that first game but credit to HuK, he shut him down hard. 2nd game I thought NaDa was making a comeback but damn HuK shut him down last map. Ryung and Puzzle the first game was hilariously awesome, such low supply all game long, 1 base vs 1 base for like 20 minutes but the 2nd game Ryung handled him. Glad July stomped him even if the games were pretty boring
