I've recently started to spend more time laddering, but as you might know this can be quite a lonely process. I would love to be chilling on Skype / TS with some people while playing, makes the game so much more enjoyable.

Out of curiosity, where do you study in the Netherlands?

I study at the University of Amsterdam.
I'm doing the Bachelor in Artificial Intelligence, meaning a combination of programming / math / language processing / psychology / computer learning / etc. Currently writing my bachelor thesis.

At the end of every year there's a project. First year was implementing a chess endgame (king + pawn vs king) and programming a robot arm to actually execute the program on a real chess board.
Second year we made an application where you would take a photo of the shelf with your CD collection and the program would automatically return a list with album title, artist, etc of all your CDs. It actually only worked for ~15% of the CDs but it was a great project with many aspects (cutting the picture into smaller pictures of only one cd back, OCR, database with CDs).
Right now I'm working on my bachelor thesis which is on linking news articles from a huge database of the national newspaper to video and sound clips of the national archive of Sound and Vision. I've already written the application and I'm working on working out the results.

It sounds really fun and the psychological aspect of it is intriguing.
