I don't like the current show that much and it has nothing to do with Incontrol's departure. You should go back to the first shows and realize why that is. Sure they couldn't even talk about tournament results back then because they weren't any but that made for a far better show. You got real discussions among pro gamers, which strategies should be used, what furture developments, they think, will happen and so on. Is any hardcore fan really interested in tournament recaps? We already know them and saying how good they played in them adds nothing to the show. I really hope the show gets back in that direction it once was. I thought that the lack of a real terran player as a pillar wasn't that bad. But I really think that high level terran player would add a lot to the show because TvT has changed the most in last weeks and is still changing and noone really know where it is going.

I like the show before/after Incontrol leaving, so I really don't mind which ever, though there were more intriguing discussions when he was on. JP fighting!

I miss Idra, as he's the only one that didn't try and sugar-coat anything.

Even if he goes on a propaganda campaign for the EG/Puma scandal I won't care, as long as we get some drama going with some friendly troll bait all around!
Tyler usually shuts him down when he goes into Goebbels mode anyway.

I thing the show is really awesome now that the 2 EG members have gone.

Not like she's a key figure in the development of ESports or anything. Plus, if she wasn't there, JP and Artosis would never remember which GSL game they are talking about, they'd just say "What was that one awesome PvZ?" Then Lisa comes in reminds everybody of the players, and the round, and which game it was. She's good for the cast. And therein lies the root of the problem. I'm really, really tired of them doing nothing but discuss tournaments, results, and who's playing in them. It made sense when there was just GSL and the occasional other tournament, but there are just far too many now. I want my metagame, balance, and drama arguments back. SOTG really just feels like it's becoming little more than compiled tournament announcements.
Completely agree, I watch to get the latest on what top pros think about strategy developments, not the latest tourny news...

Was there a SotG last night? I wasn't even checking really because I'm not that interested anymore. I miss when they would talk about the actual game. I miss the back and forth between various people. I miss Tyler's "just chillin." I miss Idra and Incontrol. It's pretty boring TBH.
Also, while I like the addition of Artosis, I don't like Leah. She's just... not very interesting. Lacking in a real unique personality. Not very insightful. She might be helping the development of eSports, but a lot of people are doing that. But I guess that + being female = qualified for SotG =(

I'll add on as one more for iNcontrol coming back! He really brought the humor and controversy with his long winded hillarious monologues. I think there is no better moment than the interview with MLG Lee where he was like "ok this is fucking boring, what do you think of X?!?" and kind of spiced it up by challenging him a little bit more. Most of the current show participants are a lot more passive, so its less exciting.
Also, this might mean more random Anna Prosser phone calls, which were always a nice mid-episode distraction.

INCONTROL PLEASE COME BACK !!!

I miss strat discussion to be honest. I liked the brotoss debates about PvP air, and the debates regarding banshees vs DTs, and in general one base all in can be held or not or the evolution of the game. Hearing about tourneys is a nice aside but for the tourney to be the biggest focus is a bit dissapointing or boring to me. Ill just read the tl weekly recap or something instead. Finals, discuss, after tourney unexpected results - please discuss, tournies sure whatever just so long as it isnt most of the show that Im listening to "group a is__" "and b is__" "and those gsl up and downs were__".
Thats just my 2 cents, i miss the strat talk and the metagame etc etc.

And Leah does not only know tournament results, but is, as Skank already said, a figurehead of ESPORTS. In fact, she might not have the knowledge of the players on that cast, but on the other hand she asks some questions that are really interesting to the community. It's nice to have someone in there to have another view on the game and the community itself.
So all in all she is a pretty good addition to the cast, I like her work.
All of your points are completely valid, and completely irrelevant. Tournament results are a useful statistic (sometimes) but tournament ANNOUNCEMENTS on a podcast that has been traditionally very back-and-forth about things like balance and the metagame, is getting out of control. Talking about the tournaments in the shallowest way possible (the SOTG hosts don't have the time to even watch most of the games JP brings up. How many times has he said "So, incredible games on the GSL? Who saw them?" And nobody says a word?) is just not worth listening to.
I appreciate Leah and what she does, bigtime. Don't get me wrong. I just think she isn't a good fit for the show as a regular, full-length caster. She doesn't have the depth nor breadth of knowledge for what's required (and I'm not faulting her for it) in that.
She can come on as a guest for 10, 20, even 30 minutes and talk about esports and starcraft, and I'd applaud the hell out of that! But watching her sit there uncomfortably and waste a spot that could be filled with other, much more qualified persons, is just dumb.
What "work" has she done, per se? Broad, generic questions with no real aim or relevance? Sitting there and not talking because she just isn't a progamer? Oh, you mean when she reminds people about what tournament people played in.
as I've said before, if all you want is a two hour tournament recap out of your SOTG, then I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree,

While I rarely agreed with any of his (mostly) whining, I will stand behind him having the gall to do it at all. It made for the best episodes.

You just need someone to play devil's advocate without feeling bad about it. Destiny could fit in that role.

I completely agree with all the people wanting SOTG to be more than just the latest tournaments results, we can find the results on our own. It would be nice with some good ol' 20 min rants about balance, instead of "HuK is good and wins." Its getting more boring every episode

I would like to see Incontrol come back as well, especially now that Artosis is one of the pillars. Both of them have very strong opinions and when they disagree about something its always freaking hilarious.

I like the new show just as much as I liked the old one. Incontrol had his moments, but he had a lot of bad ones too. Artosis is doing a good job, just need naniwa to come on some more. Love his humour

Hope this show is extra long to make up for the one we missed! And plus there's probably loads to talk about because of MLG
