EPTThe male lead was tallish with brown hair i think and the girl was sorta petite with blonde hair. The kid was maybe 12 or 13. Pretty sure it was late 50s early 60s film.
It was part musical and it was about this movie star girl that moved in next door to a single father and son. They were planning a camping trip and the girl would talk to them over the wall and hop over and bbq and what not.
The kid and the dad were not trying to get into a relationship/keep women out of their lives.
There was a cool scene where the father and son were singing and throwing dishes around with some nice choreography.
