Proves he is not a good player when he takes like 3hours to beat QXC in a Code B semi final game, then loses to Hero in 20minutes lol. Cezzane was unlucky that DRG was going for a huge roach push if it had been like 2/3 minutes later he wouldnt of been able to move out with it. Vs hero he got lucky that Hero did not sim City xpo like every other protos does and got a cheap easy run by victory massing lings...hardly the best play you will ever see...Then vs NaDa he just about won after getting lucky Run Bys again when NaDa moving out. He is not the best player on MVP team, Genuis and Tails clearly are hense they are in code S (going to be for Tails) Keen is also better than DRG. Stop with the fanboy attitudes please!! Apart from what everyone else allready pointed out DRG does not use "funny" builds. His builds are actually pretty standard. And saying he got lucky with that roachpush, Cezzane had about 4 roaches and a bunch of spines going up: obviously he knows something fishy is going on and its better to push sooner rather than later. In his match against Hero he knew what was going on and countered it perfectly. And vs Nada he scouted very well for when nada was moving out to make the runby's. He also does this in alot of ZvT's succesfully. Conclusion: He does not go for funny builds and he is not jus t"lucky". Lol watching different games i see. For the nada Run Bys where all luck, he had an Ovie scouting outside base until like 10minute mark when NaDa killed it, after that it was just luck that he moved into NaDas natural with his army, not saying this is bad play, its agressive zerg play which is fine. But it more luck than judgement that NaDa army is not turtling outside his base. Vs Cezzane he made like 25 roaches and steamed across the map not taking a 3rd? and your saying that is "standard" play vs a 2 base Z v Z with same build. He didnt scout a spire until they were up, he didnt even see the mass SC until he engaged, he had the Ovie OUTSIDE the choke of Cezzane natural -_-. Hero game, well he getting picked off in his main, sends 20 lings he has to Heros base on other side of map, see's no sim city defense on Natural, sees no block runs into his base gets some probe kills. Sends 40 more lings and its gege...Mistake from hero, yes.
Well I watched LQ so I'm going off what the commentators said. But in the Nada game they pointed out he had zerglings all over the map scouting for Nada to move out.
For the Cezzane game I did not say its standard to mass roaches and not take your 3rd but he kept scouting with lings and Cezzane only showed 4 roaches and he scouted about 5 of the 9 spines (some of those were in production) with his lings. Now he didn't see the spire but when you are low on units and build alot of spines in ZvZ alot of times this means spire (atleast this is what I gather from my expierence and from watching pro's stream). So yes he hit a good timing with that push, but saying it was just luck is just not right.
And in the Hero game it was once again the commentators who pointed out that a VR expand build like that could be countered by mass lings. He tried it, and it worked. Was a gamble but not an uneducated gamble like you make it out to be.

Ho, and another terrible day from the observer >< In DRG vs Hero, when hero moved out with his army, we didn't even see the battle. I don't know if they changed the observer, but this one is not good at all. No production tab, miss a lot of stuff

I don't even have to watch MVP's matches anymore to see a 4:3 result for MVP with DongRaeGu taking 3 or 4 kills. He's too good at what he does that results often become predictable. We'll probably see the same result when Fox United faces MVP next.
oGs should have brought HuK in as 4th instead of Cezanne. HuK and Jinro ended up just being bench-warmers, when they could've been used as wildcards to throw off MVP, seeing as they didn't have MC with them (it was also one of the rare occasions where TL members actually showed up in the team league). Note that HuK has already beaten July and Moon in Dreamhack (as well as beating idrA's macro-heavy style), so he has both experience against Zergs with aggro timing pushes and mutalisk/baneling play. Even if HuK ends up losing, at least he'd have stood a better chance at actually beating DongRaeGu. Protoss is also admittedly DongRaeGu's weakest match-up.
I really question TheWind's tactical decisions sometimes.

If you don't realize that Cezanne was the perfect pick, then you are clueless. Sending out huk over cezanne would've been a huge mistake. Yeah, Huk would have been a stupid pick. I think Cezanne was an alright pick, since he took a game off of Nestea in Code A, but there were more solid players available, I think.

I think HuK would have been an okay pick, but nowhere near the perfect pick that some people are making it out to be. HuK, Hero, and Cezanne would have been/were all fine picks. If MC was there he'd be the definite ace, given his skill and experience in that high-pressure situation. It's just too bad that oGs didn't have its entire lineup when it probably needed it the most.

Would of love to have seen HuK clinch it for oGs, gg anyway Enjoyed all the games.

Edit: Oh, and ZvZ is also one of DRGs "weak" matchups. He said so himself in the last interview.

Come on guys too much talking abt Huk/Cezz when we should be talking abt NaDa doing well in GSTL

HuK might be on a tear recently but I think he'd still have been run over by the dong pain train.

DRG is sick in GSTL. Really weird he can't step it up in non team league O_o

Thewind had been making questionable decisions on who to send out in previous team leagues. I feel that his players pick today were correct though. What Ogs needs to improve on is their pre-matches preparation on specific maps and match-ups like how team slayers does. If you want to use certain strats, at least choose the most appropriate map to do so. Going mutas in zvz is not a bad choice, but going mutas on the map with the shortest rush distance definitely is. Choose crevasse or terminus to go mutas instead. I don't know if stargate is a gd choice for xfire, but it's decent considering how easy toss can deny zerg's 3rd on the map. Though abusing blink stalkers with forcefields might be a better choice in that map.
MVP coach is doing the right thing. Stop complaining that he has bad player picks, always relying on DRG to clean up. As a coach, you should be aiming for the finals. If you rely on code s players to get to the playoffs, how is the team going to survive when it's more than a bo7. It is the inexperienced players that need to start performing better. No matter how good DRG is, sooner or later he's gonna get sniped in these bo1s once the opponents study his builds better.

He beat monster who isn't amazing, and then he beat Keen in a really awesome game. TvZ is definitely his weakest matchup though. It always seems like he doesn't want to attack zergs, just out macro them which is insanely hard if not impossible to do. sC definitely has the best style. He takes out hatch after hatch and forces the zerg to lose economy and not make drones. Nada seems to try to get big groups of units and attack one time and expect to end the game.

Cezanne's most significant wins against zerg was one set off of NesTea, and beating Leenock a long time ago. I know that oGs intended for him to be the ZvZ sniper, but HuK has a lot of experience against zerg too, and has taken down July, like I said earlier. July's style doesn't have much finesse, but he's a very aggressive and timing-oriented player, which DongRaeGu seems to be as well. I expected Cezanne to show up somewhere along the line due to the fact that he's the team captain (I didn't expect TheStC to show up first, as I thought it was going to go NaDa [taking down two or three people], Cezanne and Hero to take care of DongRaeGu with Hero going first, then HuK as the ace if both Cezanne and Hero fail to take DongRaeGu down). When MVP watched the coach interviews, I'm sure they got the memo in that oGs were probably not going to use most of their regulars. I'm not saying that they're racist or anything, but Koreans would probably not feel to good about leaving it up to foreigners to help them actually win anything. Especially in an ace match, so MVP probably knew that HuK and Jinro weren't going to play anyway, despite showing up.

DONG RAE GUUUUUUU!
I left for work this morning, Dong Rae Gu was just starting his first game, and I was like: GO DONG RAE GUUUUUU! YOU'LL KILL ALL OF THEM, DONG RAE GUUUUUUUUUU!
My roommate called me crazy, then I left...
But IT HAPPENED! GO DONG RAE GUUUUUU!
