I will update this as Fomos updates their page. These are interviews of individual progamers who attended the event for zerg, and played the game.

“적응만 한다면 굉장히 재미있을 것 같다”

10일, 삼성동 그랜드 인터콘티넨탈 호텔에서 펼쳐진 스타크래프트2 저그 공개 및 시연회에서 참가한 이제동(르까프)은 긍정적인 소감을 밝혔다.

직접 스타크래프트2를 체험한 이제동은 저그 종족에 대해서 “유닛의 특성이 많이 바뀌었다”며 “새로운 유닛이 추가가 되어서 그 강점을 잘 살리며 저그가 굉장히 막강해질 것 같다”는 견해를 내놓았다.

저그의 큰 무기인 뮤탈리스크 컨트롤은 스타크래프트2에서 보기 어려워질 가능성이 높다. 이제동은 “뮤탈리스크가 크게 달라지지는 않았지만 컨트롤이 더 어려워졌다”며 “하나로 뭉쳐지는 플레이는 가능하지만 치고 빠지는 컨트롤은 불가능했다”고 말했다.

다음은 이제동과의 일문일답.

- 게임을 해본 소감은
▲ 그래픽이 3D로 바뀌어서 적응이 어려웠다. 하지만 직접 게임을 해보니 바뀐 것이 거의 없는 것 같다. 스타크래프트1과 비슷하며 원래 팬들이 넘어오는데 큰 문제는 없을 것 같다. 적응하면 굉장히 재미있을 것 같다.

- 저그는 어떻게 바뀌었나
▲ 유닛의 특성이 많이 바뀌었다. 새로운 유닛이 추가가 되어서 그 강점을 잘 살리며 저그가 굉장히 막강해질 것 같다.

- 퀸이라는 유닛이 발표되었는데
▲ 스타크래프트에서는 안 쓰이는 유닛이 많았다. 퀸이 대표적인데 스타크래프트2에서는 많은 기술이 생기면서 좋아졌다. 마법 유닛이 많아진 점이 마음에 든다.

- 뮤탈리스크는 사용을 해봤나
▲ 스타크래프트1와 뮤탈리스크는 크게 다르지 않았다. 하지만 컨트롤이 더 어려워졌다. 하나로 뭉쳐지는 플레이는 가능하지만 치고 빠지는 컨트롤은 불가능했다.

- 다른 유닛들을 사용해 본 소감은
▲ 나이더스 웜을 사용해봤는데 이동하면서 커널을 만들더라. 아주 유용할 것 같다. 저글링이 덩치가 커져서 강해진 느낌이다. 하지만 능력치에는 큰 변화가 없어서 시각적으로만 그렇다.

- 스타크래프트2를 하게 된다면
▲ 만약 스타크래프트2를 하게 된다고 해도 저그만 할 것이다. 스타크래프트1에서는 저그가 물량에 특화되어 있었는데 스타크래프트2에서는 물량은 기본이며 전략적이고 기술적인 플레이가 많이 중요할 것 같다.

Fomos - How was the game?
JaeDong - The graphics change to 3D made it difficult to get use to. But actually playing it I don't think much changed. It's similar to StarCraft 1 and I don't think there'll be any problems for the fans to enjoy it. If you get use to it I think it'll be very fun.

- How has zerg changed?
JD - The unit's characteristics changed. Adding new units and making them stronger, I believe if you concentrate on that the zerg will be powerful.

- The Queen was introduced.
JD - There were a few units not used in StarCraft. The Queen was an exmaple but in SC2 a lot of new abilities were added to make it better. I like the fact that there are a lot of new casters for zerg.

- Have you used the mutalisks.
JD - The mutalisks aren't much different from SC1. But the muta control has become more difficult. It's possible to clump them up as one but hitting and running control was impossible.

- How were the other units.
JD - I tried out the Nydus Worm and it creates canals while moving. It will become very useful. The zerglings were bigger so they seemed stronger. But in actuality they weren't much different. It only felt like that.

- If you play StarCraft 2.
JD - If I play StarCraft 2 (I assume they mean professionally?) I'll keep playing with zerg. In SC1 the zerg was a macro-specific race but in SC2 macro was obvious, but I think it requires more strategic and skillful techniques.

10일, 삼성동 그랜드 인터컨티넨털호텔 그랜드볼룸에서 펼쳐진 스타크래프트2 저그 공개 및 시연회에서 참가한 송병구(삼성전자)는 프로토스와 저그 종족에 대해서 만족감을 표시했다.

프로토스 종족을 가장 많이 플레이 했다는 송병구는 “그래픽도 좋아졌고 마더쉽이라는 유닛도 마음에 든다”고 말한 뒤 저그에 대해서는 “조금 더 징그럽고 지저분해졌지만 더욱 강력해진 느낌”이라고 덧붙였다.

송병구는 게임을 하는데 큰 어려움은 없다고 밝혔다. 하지만 “2D를 좋아하느냐 3D를 좋아하느냐의 차이로 유저가 갈라질 것 같다”며 “개발중인 게임이어서 그렇겠지만 나는 아직 스타크래프트1이 더 재미있는 것 같다”고 조심스럽게 예측했다.

다음은 송병구와의 일문일답.

- 게임을 직접 해보니 어떤가
▲ 프로토스를 가장 오래 했었는데 만족을 많이 했다. 그래픽도 좋아졌고 마더쉽이라는 유닛도 마음에 든다. 하지만 마더쉽의 블랙홀 기술이 사라진 것 같고 마나가 너무 많이 들어서 기술을 직접 써보지도 못했다. 저그는 조금 더 징그럽고 지저분해졌지만 더욱 강력해진 느낌이다.

- 프로토스는 어떤 것 같나
▲ 프로토스로 플레이를 하는데 큰 어려움을 느끼지 않았다. 저그도 전작과 비슷한 느낌이었지만 건물이 비슷하게 생겨서 조금 어려웠다.

- 전작의 팬들이 쉽게 적응할 수 있을 것 같은가?
▲ 개인 취향일 것 같다. 2D를 좋아하느냐 3D를 좋아하느냐의 차이일 것이다. 개발중인 게임이어서 그렇겠지만 나는 아직 스타크래프트1이 더 재미있는 것 같다.

- 새로 공개된 저그 유닛들은 어떤가
▲ 퀸은 바로 생산이 가능하다. 영어로 모두 써있어서 이해가 잘 가지 않았지만 나중에 제대로 나온다면 활용 가치가 매우 높은 유닛이 될 것으로 보인다. 바퀴라는 유닛이 있는데 체력이 90이다. 하지만 한번에 90 이상의 데미지를 주지 못한다면 곧바로 체력을 100% 회복한다. 다소 사기스러운 면이 있다.

- 프로토스에서 가장 달라진 점
▲ 유닛들이 다들 멋있게 생겼다. 달라진 점이 있다면 다크아콘이 사라졌다는 것이다. 다크템플러를 합치던 하이템플러를 합치던 모두 아콘으로 나온다. 예약 생산, 건물 짓기가 가능해져서 쉽게 손이 가는 느낌이다.

- 오늘 사용해본 유닛 중 가장 마음에 든 유닛은?
▲ 사이오닉 스톰을 사용해봤는데 멋있는 효과는 아니었다. 나는 캐리어가 가장 마음에 들었는데 컨트롤에 치중하는 플레이는 쉽지 않을 것 같다. 스카우트와 아비터는 사라졌다.

Fomos - How was the game?
Stork - I played protoss mostly and I was satisfied. The graphics were much better and I really liked the Mothership. But I think the mothership's blackhole ability was removed and she required a lot of mana so I wasn't able to test them out. The zerg became more gross and messy, but powerful.

- How's the protoss?
Stork - I didn't find it too difficult to play with protoss. The zerg felt similar to the previous game, but the buildings were a bit confusing because they looked the same.

- Do you think the fans of SC1 can easily adapt to SC2?
Stork - I think it depends on personal preference. It will probably depend on if you prefer 2D or 3D. It's probably because the game's still under development but I still like SC1 better.

- How were the new zerg units?
Stork - The Queen could be made straight from the hatchery. I didn't really understand because it was written in english, but when used correctly I think it will be a useful unit. A new unit called Roach was added and it had 90 HP. But unless you deal 90 damage to it, it will heal extremely fast to 100%. It was pretty cheap (unfair).

- The greatest difference of Protoss?
Stork - The units all look really cool. If anything changed it's that the Dark Archon was removed. Whether you morph Dark Templars or High Templars they all come out as archons. Queueing units and buildings were possible so it felt like things were easier.

- Out of the units you tried today, which did u like the most?
Stork - I tried the psionic storm but it wasn't that cool. I liked the carrier the most but it won't be easy concentrating on control. The scout and arbiters were removed.

3월10일 서울 강남구 삼성동 그랜드 인터콘티넨탈 호텔 그랜드볼룸에서 열린 스타크래프트2 저그 시연회에 각 게임단을 대표하는 스타 플레이어들이 총출동해 새로운 종족 저그를 직접 체험했다.

최근 양대리그를 석권하며 명실상부한 최강의 프로게이머로 떠오른 르까프 이제동을 비롯한 시연회 참가 선수들은 한결 같이 "마법이 강화되고 강력한 유닛들이 추가된 저그가 강해졌다"고 입을 모았다.

▶르까프 이제동=퀸이 좋아진 것 같아 기대를 많이 했는데 다소 실망스러웠다. 맷집이 너무 약해 금방 파괴됐다. 느낌이 다르기는 하지만 뮤탈리스크 컨트롤도 된다. 스타크래프트와 달리 동시에 두 부대의 유닛을 컨트롤할 수 있지만 치고 빠지는 컨트롤은 불가능했다. 그 외에도 많은 유닛들이 추가돼서 다양한 운영이 가능할 것 같다.

▶MYM 장재호=프로토스와 테란에 이어 저그까지 모두 플레이해봤다. 전반적인 인터페이스가 워크래프트3와 크게 다르지 않아 적응하기는 어렵지 않을 것 같다. 개인적으로는 저그가 내 스타일과 가장 잘 맞는 것 같다.

▶MBC게임 박지호=전반적으로 스타크래프트와 비슷하지만 그래픽이 상당히 좋아졌다. 유닛도 많이 늘어나서 더욱 재미있을 것 같다. 다만 아쉬운 점은 3D여서 그런지 스타크래프트와 같은 섬세한 맛은 없는 것 같다. 스타크래프트2에서도 저그를 상대로 충분히 할만할 것 같다. 같은 입장에서 출발한다면 더 열심히 하는 쪽이 이기지 않겠나.

▶삼성전자 송병구=프로토스의 그래픽이 정말 멋있었다. 일부 유닛들은 전작보다 훨씬 폼이 난다. 스타크래프트가 너무나도 완벽한 게임이기 때문에 아직 게임성이나 밸런스 부분에서 수정할 부분이 많아 보인다. 정식 출시될 때까지 많은 보완이 이뤄질 것으로 본다. 저그는 강력한 마법이 많이 추가됐다. 많이 강해진 느낌이다. 마법을 잘 쓰는 저그와 만나면 경기를 치르기가 쉽지 않을 것 같다. 그리고 컨트롤보다는 운영에 더 신경을 많이 써야 할 것 같다.

▶위메이드 이윤열=스타크래프트와 비슷한 부분이 많다. 특히 테란의 경우 유닛 구성이나 운영이 스타크래프트와 많이 비슷하다. 다른 종족에 비해 새로운 요소가 적은 점은 상당히 아쉽다. 오늘 공개된 저그는 재미있을 것 같다. 유닛 종류도 다양하고 업그레이드도 여러 가지다. 강력한 유닛인 퀸이 빨리 나오기 때문에 테란이 저그를 상대하기 까다로울 것 같다.

▶KTF 강 민=재미있을 것 같다. 게임이 인기를 끌려면 재미가 가장 중요하지 않겠나. 정식 출시되더라도 시장에서 큰 인기를 끌 수 있을 것 같다. 아직 밸런스를 말하기는 이른 것 같다. 종족 별로 강한 유닛들이 많이 생겨서 더욱 재미있을 것 같다.

▶이스트로 신희승=정말 재미있을 것 같다. 게임을 시연하면서 전략적인 플레이가 가능한 요소들을 찾아보려고 했다. 테란은 서플라이를 이용한 전략적 플레이가 가능하다. 서플라이를 아래로 내리면 유닛들이 그 위로 이동할 수 있기 때문에 자유롭게 입구를 막고 열 수 있는 여지가 생겼다. 저그는 커널이 강화됐다. 커널을 활용하면 드롭을 하지 않고도 상대 본진을 공격할 수 있다.

▶온게임넷 박찬수=스타크래프트와 많이 달라진 것 같다. 퀸이 많이 좋아졌는데 생산 속도도 빨라 더욱 좋아졌다. 커널의 활용도가 높아진 점도 저그에게 유리할 것 같다. 오버로드 디텍팅 기능이 사라진 점은 아쉽지만 전반적으로 저그가 많이 좋아졌다.

▶CJ 마재윤=퀸에 기대를 걸었는데 생각만큼 강력하지는 않은 것 같다. 새로 나온 유닛들도 많지만 아직 건물과 유닛들을 다 파악하지는 못했다. 강한 마법이 많이 추가돼 적절히 사용한다면 게임에 큰 영향을 미칠 것 같다.

▶SK텔레콤 김택용=스타크래프트2를 오늘 처음 해봤다. 여러 가지로 달라진 점이 많다. 저그의 마법들이 까다로울 것 같기는 하지만 게임은 해봐야 알 것이다. 스타크래프트2를 하게 되더라도 저그를 상대로 강한 모습을 보일 수 있도록 열심히 하겠다.

▶STX 진영수=저그가 많이 좋아졌다. 특히 모든 유닛이 버로우를 할 수 있다는 점이 까다롭다. 강력한 마법도 다수 추가됐기 때문에 저그를 상대하기가 쉽지 않을 것 같다.

Lecaf (Z)Jaedong - The Queen had a lot of hype so I was looking forwared to it but I was disappointed because it didn't seem that great. It's HP and defense were weak and died pretty quickly. The feelings different but muta control was possible. Unlike StarCraft1 you could micro two groups at once but the hit-n-run tactic wasn't possible. A lot of new units were added making it possible for more dynamic plays.

MYM Moon - I've played with Protoss, Terran and now Zerg. The initial interface wasn't much different from WarCraft 3 so I don't think it will be very difficult getting use to. Personally I think the zerg is matches to my style the most.

MBCGame (P)Pusan - It's initial phase is similar to StarCraft but with better graphics. A lot of new units were added so I think it'll be fun. The only part I disliked maybe because it's 3D, but it didn't feel as clean as StarCraft. Playing against Zerg doesn't seem difficult too difficult in SC2 as well. If you begin at the same level then the one who practiced more would win.

Samsung (P)Stork - The Protoss graphics were very cool. The standard units have a much more impressive form than before. Because StarCraft was such a perfect game it will need a lot of changing for balancing and gaming. It will probably go through a lot of changes before it's officially released. The zerg has been given a lot of powerful magic. It seems much stronger. Playing against a zerg who uses his magic abilities well will probably be difficult to beat. And I think management will be more important than control.

WeMade (T)NaDa - It has a lot of similarities with StarCraft. Especially the Terran's characteristics and management styles are similar. I only regret that it doesn't have as many new changes compared to the other races. The Zerg that was announced today seemed very interesting. It has a lot of different units and has alot of different upgrades. The powerful unit Queen can be created quickly so it will probably be tricky for terrans to play against zerg.

KTF (P)rA - It seems like a lot of fun. For a game to be popular it must be fun. It will probably be very popular when released. I think it's too early to comment on the balance. Each race has been given powerful new units so I think it'll be really fun.

eStro (T)UpMagiC - It seems like a lot of fun. While testing I was looking for any aspects to use strategically. The terran can use the supply depot for strategical uses. If you lower your supplies to the ground then the units can move over it so you can always create a wall to open and close at your will. The zerg has a powerful canal. Using the canal they can attack your base without using drops.

OnGameNet (Z)Luxury - It seems a lot different from StarCraft. The Queen was much better, and you can create it really fast so it's even better. The easier canals will be a strong weapon for zerg. It's a shame the Overlord's detection ability was removed but still the zerg became very powerful.

CJ (Z)sAviOr - I was very excited for the queen but it wasn't as strong as I thought it'd be. There were a lot of new units but I wasn't able to figure out all the units and buildings yet. A lot of strong magic was added so if you use them correctly I think it will have a great impact on the game.

SKTelecom (P)Bisu - I played StarCraft2 for the first time today. It had a lot of different points. The Zerg's magic abilities seems like it will be tricky to play against, but you won't know until you play it. If I play I will work hard to show a powerful side against Zerg in StarCraft 2 aswell.

STX (T)Hwasin - The zerg became really good. Especially the fact that all units can now burrow (i'm assuming he means ground units). A lot of strong magic has been added so it won't be easy playing against them.

lol so they still stack but you can't hit and run anymore... what the hell's the point? hahah :/

As far as I'm concerned, the muta stacking and attacking on the move as it is in SC1 is broken, no better than an exploit. Hopefully they have implemented it in a working manner in SC2.

Muta micro basically holds the Zerg race together, they should definitely keep it.

well, i guess the operative phrase is "could see". as stork said: "unless you deal 90 damage to it, it will heal extremely fast to 100%"

brief play, sure, but everyone else who got a chance to play at blizzcon got a brief play too, and they found the phoenix (that was the unit, right?) a bit overpowered.

no offense man, but i dont think its worth their time to interview savior... Jaedong was the obvious choice. Im sad to hear that Muta control is bad, but im sure they will fix that with balancing.

Out of the units you tried today, which did u like the most?
Stork - I tried the psionic storm but it wasn't that cool. I liked the carrier the most but it won't be easy concentrating on control. The scout and arbiters were removed

no arbitrers =(!
