The thing is, 2 dts are more mineral expensive than 2 hts, which cost more gas. Since minerals are usually much easier to come by, I'm guessing 2 dt archons will be more popular. Then again, the ht storm-to-archon trick still works, so we could see both.

I guess not much of a macro game, not much of a micro grame, more of a strategy game now.

A big part of macro is strategy and micro is hardly phased with these changes. Smartcast just allows Blizzard to add more abilities without overwhelming the player while most micro is about unit movement anyway and unit selection cap has nothing to do with micro.

I think the Mutalisk issue will be fine. There was a time when no one knew about stacking or could use it to the level that the pros today use it in Starcraft 1, and balance was still more or less fine. SC2's balance will be equal, just a different animal.

I don't know, each translation gives you a little bit of a different vibe. The comment he made about it not feeling as "clean as StarCraft" or that the "3d takes away the feel of 'finesse' SC 1 had" worries me.

Overall, it sounds like the players want to be positive about the game, and why shouldn't everyone be, its still in development, and a lot of stuff needs to be ironed out before its released, but I think that part of the comment made by Pusan is kind of interesting to see what kind of potential SC2 has to live up to the original.



I noticed that too. The gamers should be positive, as their livelihood is given to them by Blizzard, in a way. But it's nice to see some honesty, like from Pusan. There were more than one that said the 3d aspect of it felt less tight than 2d. Blizzard needs to really look at this closely. They need to get rid of that rotating/turning slow 3D style on most units and pay close attention to hit boxes, etc. It needs to feel right.

Stork - I tried the psionic storm but it wasn't that cool. I liked the carrier the most but it won't be easy concentrating on control. The scout and arbiters were removed. [/stork]


I spoke too soon on the AOE stuff... psi storm is still nerfed. I'm still praying for faster casting with cheaper energy costs to make up for the nerf. Well at least the Terran have the flame throwing bikes now.

No, that was the visuals im sure, the psi storm looks really lame now. However the starcraft psi storm looks would not fit a 3d world at all and owuld just look out of place.
