So it's the new, long awaited custom game that everyone wanted to play due to there being a new portrait. I've been playing for about an hour and a half, managing to beat all the levels except 29 and 30. Made the thread for discussion about other levels. Ask questions and provide answers here.

Ok, so the bane vs bane one isn't even close to being fair... do you see how the computer micro's its zerglings? Its like that stupid 100 lings vs 50 tanks controlled by ai video.

For those who don't know what I'm talking about,

To pass that one, I split my banes into 2 groups of 2 and sent the first two to attack their banelings. The AI took out my two with 3 of theirs. After that I sent my other 2 and the AI used the last banelings it had to kill my 2, which also killed a good number of his zerglings by splash.

I just finished playing through the game, and received the sc2 master in just 1 hr, 30min.. Some of the challenges are quite difficult, especially number thirty. For those of you struggling with thirty, my method was to avoid switching control between the tank and medivac at all. Ideally (see: how I did it) your actions should look like this:
1) Select medivac
2) Hit 'H' (or whatever your hold position key is.) This will stop the stupid medivac from running away if it gets shot.
3) Wait for the tank to have the stalkers shoot at it. Right click the tank with the medivac selected.
4) Hit 'D' (or whatever your unload key is.), and click on the medivac. You may need to spam this step (for some reason, if found it didn't always register)
5) Repeat steps 3-4 until stalkers are dead.

If your medivac is about to die, let the tank take a few shots. Make sure to unload medivac if you see it's doomed. Good luck!

Level 30 is an exercise in pure bullshit. Everything shoots way too fast and worse, way too RANDOMLY for there to be a proper way to clear this stage. Starcraft 2 is just too fast-paced to emulate Starcraft 1.

The last one is a bit of luck. I had one time that all three stalkers were orange... I dont have the apm to target with the tank

But after really really long time you get it

For level 30, you have to make the shots miss the tank, its not enough to transfer some of the shots to the medivac. Which means you have to pick up the tank as it's being shot at. Then drop it back down immediately, and press hold position on the medivac. This is especially important for the first couple cycles, as there are 3 stalkers shooting instead of 1 or 2. Once you get a hold of the timing, you just have to keep resetting a bunch of times till you get a good run.

they should have reset be faster..I play starcraft 1 button should start instantly no 3 seconds!
Other than that I am stuck on infestor one -_- lol

I agree. That 3 second delay is really annoying and totally breaks the flow, especially after trying the same challenge a couple of times in a row.

Thanks, got it now . Also, I mixed up 12 and 16 (twelve is the one with the infested terrans and the siege tanks, 16 is the fungal one.

I only have 27 to 30 left to finish. The videos posted in here were helpful too on a few of the trickier ones. Anyone else feel like the "warp/reset" buttons are way too huge and constantly get in the way where they are?

the last level is also possible without hold position.

i even find it harder to go with hold position.

you just need good timing so the stalkers will at least 2 at a time hit at your tank which you should be able to avoid

Man, I can't figure out 29 at all. First 28 were reasonable for my platinum ass, and I've not tried 30 much yet but it looks doable, but I have no idea how to do 29 without 3 times the APM requirement for any of the other challenges, which seems excessive.

Ah, but 29 is easy, just wait until the two zealots have focused the outer marines, then move them (both selected at the same time, no need to switch back and forth) south and then simply circle around the center marine who keeps shooting them down.

It's 28 that I'm biting my teeth out on, so close to throwing the computer out of the window, argh! (tried it like 40 times now... it's running way too fast, even with stim).

you don't need to be perfect with the last one, just try and do the lifting as well as you can and waste a decent % of the stalker shots, depending on which out of the tank and medivac take more damage you can be more conservative with when you lift and drop to be safe. I generally found that my medivac seemed to die quicker. On the run where I finally got it, both were on red health.
