So, in 9 minutes it will be the supposed day of the rapture. I hope that it happens, not because I am religious and am looking for salvation, but because I have been training my entire life for a zombie invasion.
I have an elaborate plan to move supplies and people onto a boat. From there, we will be heading for Bear Island off the coast of North Carolina. If you want to join our group, I encourage you to seek us out. Bring as much water, food, and gas as you can. Weapons will be provided upon arrival if you need one.
I think it is important that we share our plans just in case. It makes sense to organize NOW before shit starts going down and we still have the internet to communicate.
If you have similar plans in place, please share them here so that others may join up if they desperately need to.
Good luck, everyone.
Edit: It seems we have until 6:00 pm. That should give everyone enough time to plan ahead.
Well I'm on the west coast, so we'll be headin' east I'll try and meet you there. We have a ammunition stash at our house currently. We'll be picking up as much as we can on our way. There will be able 5-6 other people to start off with, hope to see you soon.
I guess I'll be asleep when it begins. I hope there's not a lot of customers at the store tomorrow at work, though. Seeing as how they'll all be dead. Or maybe we'll have zombie shoppers.
The primary passage used to support the idea of the Rapture is 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17, in which Paul cites "the word of the Lord" about the return of Jesus to gather his saints.
... and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.1 Thess 4

That is by and far the oddest interpretation of that passage I've ever heard.
I mean, I've read it, I've heard it. Re-reading it, I still struggle to see how someone can see it as that. It seems like quite a stretch (Though all religion is a stretch)

They are. But some crazy people decided to radically interpret the text and here we are now. This happens every decade or so. The mormon's have a patent.
