Supernatural is a show that follows two brothers, Sam and Dean Winchester. They are "hunters" who travel across America in their fathers 67' Chevy Impala after their mother was killed in a supernatural driven fire while Sam was a baby in his nursery. They hunt and kill supernatural things. Ghosts, Werewolves, Vampires, Wraiths, Demons and more recently Jefferson Starships. Any supernatural thing you can think of they hunt it in this show. Supernatural is in its 6th season on the CW in the Friday night death slot at 9 o'clock. The show is already booked for a 7th season and rumored to have an 8th coming up.
The main characters in the show, well most are dead, but the alive ones are Sam and Dean Winchester, the protagonists of the show and Bobby Singer, fellow hunter and basically, only live, human friend of the Winchester boys.

This is my show man. I love the whole theme of the show, playing with every lore from across the world and merging them as one. The show has a great tone to it, joking while maintaining a serious feel. It constantly makes references to pop culture which is a great aspect of the show. It also busts out Hard Rock every so often which is perfect for me. The show just has an amazing premise.

No, it isn't new. Its on Season 6, in fact, and its about to end. There are like 3 episodes left, and Season 5 was supposed to be the final season.
I thought it was a pretty great show; I especially liked the third season, but somewhere near the end of 4 or beggining of 5 it sorta went down hill. The current season is sorta boring, really. They better end it well. =/
Its basically a 'two brothers kill monsters' show.
Vampires, werewolves, demons, ghosts, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc. etc.
Also, I said 'season' wayy to many times in this one post.

haha, no this show has been going on for the past 6 years(it is in its sixth season right now). And it is quite awesome.

I find this series to be highly comically amusing. It always gives me funny laughs.
My favorite scene was where they tried to call Castielle and his mobile box answered "This is the mailbox of" and then you heard this super powerful angel guy say "what? why do you want me to say my name?" xD best joke ever.

While grown extremely cheesey. First season was actually, scary. for me anyhow ^^
I adore the winchester brothers and their faults and hops and silly rescues =)

when i didn't have the net, i raped a season a day or something lol
not a bad show, can be pretty gripping
also yes, the trickster episodes are awesome, particularly the one where they're spoofing CSI: Miami (epic LULZ)

First season was a disapointment, but believe me, from second and up its amazing. It's worth to go through the weak first season because after that it completely rocks.

season 6's plot is good relative to the fact that the show was written for five seasons. I liked the purgatory plot line but i thought they were adding too many boss enemies and new characters this season (crowley/eve). This season really feels like its two mini seasons. I thought this season was going to be a basic "kill the boss monster" but the recent last episode changed all that, which makes me believe its going to extend into the 7th season. At least this season has more plot development than season 5.
make the info on castiel more vague for the newbies? His identity is a pretty big plot twist in the whole story imo.

Castiel definitely has some of the best lines from the show as he learns about technology, camaraderie, and human vice. But my favorite has to be "Hey, Ass-butt!"

i there already is a thread on this but, it's really old. This is basically the only show i watch on cw right now. all other shows are chick flicks. thanks for reminding me, i forgot to watch friday's episode.

The style has changed alot from first season(s) yet it remains good. One of my favorites for sure.
