So, thats kind of fucking crazy dont you guys think? I think they might have tidied up the shitty season with having Cas be the cause of everything. I mean all the shit that went on this season finally made sense and kind of explained why so much was going on tying it in to one major plot. Which was my whole complaint in that they had separate plots going all at once. Finally they tied it all together and explained what was going on. They basically had a reason for everything, Sam being back, Eve, Crowley and I think put it in a neat little bow that was not only exciting and surprising but made sense.

Overall, I think it was just a great episode that explained the awkward season. If only we actually knew or at least was hinted to the main plot of the season maybe abit earlier it would have stemmed some complaints.

I haven't been following season 6 too closely, but did they ever explain why Grandpa Sam was brought back from the dead?

Crowley/Cas brought him back. Or i think it was Cas but Crowley recieved credit. They did it so he could catch monsters high on the foodchain for Crowley to torture the location of purgatory out of. In return he would have his daughter(sam n deans mom) brought back to life if they every found what they were looking for which was purgatory.

It makes sense now at least, to have one of the best hunters (plus family) brought back to find monsters to find purgatory to meet the end goal of winning heaven. Which is the same reason Sam was brought back, Cas just felt sorry for Dean which is why he didnt get him, so what I think is being inferred is that Sam was brought back without his soul so he wouldnt mess with Dean, until of course episode 1 s6 he was in danger since the situation of catching monsters spun out of control..

The fact that Castiel has proclaimed himself the new god can't be a good thing for next season. I guess he becomes the de facto bad guy? I hope they can just remove his juice rather than have to take him out, but I guess either scenario could play out. Plus, I suppose that Crowley joins the brothers in trying to take out Castiel.

The fact that both Raphael and Crowley didn't realize it was dog's blood during their whole ritual is more than a little ridiculous, though. Ah well, can't look too closely at this show much!
