Honestly, I don't see the point of all the excitement for the Chinese scene..its not like the scene there is overflowing with talent. Wow, so they have two players that are in any way recognizable; how does that constitute an an entire WCS region getting devoted to them?? HerO wiped the floor with his group in the StarsWar league, which contained two of their supposedly "notable players," not even dropping a map; even some no name Australian player in iaguz was able to split both of his series with the Chinese players..and who the f*** is iaguz??

Sure its cool that a country with such a large population is getting into the game, but lets be realistic about it people. There is absolutely no reason for them to get a WCS region, and no reason to be overly excited just for the sake of following, lets admit it, some pretty mediocre pro players matches.

I am the OP and I agree and disagree with you on different points.

I know that you are responding to the posts that says China should get its own WCS. I know that most Chinese players don't have that Korean level skills. I also know that the Chinese scene may not be as good as it sounds. And I am ok to admit that there may be a little over-hyped about the Chinese scene, (which I kinda jumped in and magnified).

China screwed up last year's WCS Asia and WCS Global Finals to some extent. It's not terrible but realistically it will be better if it was held in EU. The cancellation of the WCS China and Asia, I think, may have something to do with that.

But does the cancellation of the WCS China and Asia actually helped improving and channeling resources into the other regions? I guess not. Even though WCS China and Asia were not that fascinating, they were still pretty decent events in 2012 and brought a lot of attention and curiosity in the West. SC2 scene, I guess, kinda lacks new stuff a the moment. And WCS China and Asia definitely bring something new, rare, and funny to the West.

There may seem to be an over-hype of the Chinese scene in the last few weeks. This was due to the bad things of Korean scene and some of the negativity about the NA scene. So people were trying to find a positive thing to be confident about SC2. Then China came in with some great news.

However, I doubt it is a real hype. The attention to the Chinese scene outside China is still as small as it can be. I am cautiously rational about how many people that this thread can bring to follow the Chinese scene. Though I am happy about yesterday's NSL TL LR thread. It got 60 replies. In 2012, NSL LR threads got like 3-4 replies in average.

Nevertheless, these are the exact reasons that I want to help the Chinese scene for what I can. It should and can be better. And I was trying to do what I can to help it, maybe, a tiny little bit.

I understand where youre coming from, and like I said before, I think it would be cool for a country with such a large population to start getting into SC2. And I wasnt saying China is unable to host large well put together tournaments, just that they do not yet have the infrastructure to do so, nor do they have the level of players required to legitimize those tournaments as being of the premier level.

These Chinese got tech skill and hardware to support them to hold any event but not for SC2. Why? because there are not so many people playing sc2 in china compare to LOL and Dota.
BTW, last years WCS and this years IEM shanghai was unsucessufl because all the tech staff they are using come along with Bilzzard and ESL, not the local guy. If you ever watch G-League or NSL offline events, it's great and never have any tech issue.

Why don't you play other Dota kind games? Because there is no Denies!!!!

Iaguz is pretty good. Was on Meta a couple of times as well, he is kind of unknown unless you follow the Australian scene.

There's definitely talent in china, Macsed and Jim are just 2 examples of that.

I thought about chinese Sc2 yesterday, and here is the thread :D great.
The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.

We can't blame her. Realistically many female players' skill level isn't going to get a major champion or anything. So stick with the most popular esport and make income based on other attributes other than being fully competitive is a good way. It sounds sexist but it's the situation.

AK almost beat him after going hatch-pool-hatch-hatch-hatch. He followed it up with 2 more hatcheries. Yes, 6 base without speed.

You can find out most of the domestic tournament information here: http://sc2.neotv.cn/

That 2v2 tournament accepts players to join.

Here is the forum for the same website: http://bbs.neotv.cn/forum-161-1.html
