no actually you are supoused to scan your choke with the initial 50 and when you come to his base you should be near 50 again, its matter of timing, a very very good timing would own 3 fact vults badly.

I don't agree, I would go exactly 2 fac gols(really early fac 11 gas and on 200/100,with machine shop ready for future plans ) and rally them from the start in front of my base(and maybe even close to his) so that when the vulcs come they won't be able to lay mines.When I get like 6 I would start a Starport and eventually make tanks.If he has gone 3 fac vulc/tanks he will be VERY vulnerable to 2 dropships of tanks/gols at some point(after you have 2 tanks at position of course).
If you make no mistakes 3 fac vulcs sux.
The only map I can think of that is good for that strat is Martian Cross , but it can be countered there as well.
MadFrog : In my opinion, the biggest reason why WC3 is dying is because it is not such a great game as Brood War is.

yes but in the middle would be minimal amounts of vults that can easily be killed by the gols and a couple of vults you are supoused to have.

You are confusing 2 fact vult vs 3 fact vult, even if gols ownz mines there are toooooo many mines if its a 3fact vult thats why scan is a good option IMO.

Scan is not important, with enough gols you can carefully move out with "attack & stop" whoring. If it's 3 fact then a safely made gol drop later on is fine as you can drop before theres tanks. If it's 2 fact vults with double grades same thing applies accept you need only a few gols before tanks, elsewise he'lls just start pumping tanks before you can catch up. Most players seem to go standard gol drop build nowadays so I would skip trying vulture cuteness and go for tanks and own.

any dropship strat is extremely stupid vs 3 fact vult on a map like gowon, if played right they should be able to defend and set up on your cliff, then it's gg

They can have mines + vuls before your gols, so I don't see this working...

Thanks for everyone who gave the good advice I was looking for, hovz and frozzor in particular.
There was one really amazing gal. She was one of the biggest chick i ever seen.

i insist, when you say you dont need scan you are thinking in 2 fact vults, 3 fact vults theres so many many mines you cannot walk withouth being harmed even with goliaths.

gawd. listen to frozzor and waxy. 2fact, u got some vision on his base at start so u should know if hes goin 1 or 2 fact. in that case, grab 2 fact, vult rush and if u get the rax in his main and see how many (or u can tell ur bein outnumbered in vult v. vult) then u gotta switch to goli. in a more open map u might need to stick to vult a lil longer or else ur golis will be constantly sweeping mines and vults out from behind ur min line and buildings... on a cliff its easy to keep em out, but in the open vults will squeeze between all nooks and crannies. so golis might have a hard time for a while till uve massed alot of them.

by which time a good terraner will expand and maybe start up serious drop or tank push w/ turret outside ur base...

eh so the moral of the story is... either switch to goli nice and early to mass them fast orrrr out vulture him. when i c a guy goin hard out vulture i often proxy fac somewhere. on LT its great pop one tank out and plonk him in ur ramp goons v. vult style, then econ pilage with 3-4 vults from the proxy. its all up 2 ur own style of play.

yes but im saying to come out with less goliaths to catch him before he has siegue tanks, so yes you can get out with enough goliaths but he should have tanks defending at that time.
