G1 was such an unbelievably epic game. One of the best SC2 series ever IMO, far surpassing the Idra/Jinro matches. Best series? I still think that goes to Leenock/NaDa or Leenock/Clide (huge platonic man-crush on Leenock), but I think it's easily the best 3-0, and probably the best TvT series I've seen. Foxer is so awesome. Are you forgetting Foxer/Kyrix? The last game on Zel Naga? The Marine splitting that permanently changed the game? MVP was the first to do it in the GSL. True, but it was Foxer who took away the fear of the Baneling Bust. There was a lot of screaming about Banelings OP until that match.
Yep.

Well Jinro was going to win anyway , he didnt care if he was 6 pooling , it was his game !
I think that Jinro did let idra get in on purpose even though he heard the noises because he had lots of time to wall in (he only needed a deppot or a bunker), but he didnt make it.
Jinro youre a very confident player right now , any foreigner who goes to korea will need months or years to archieve what you already archieved!!! Congratulations and good luck
Also i liked to see MC going to your booth to congratulate you , many players were very critic of him because he didnt shake your hand when you played 2 of the best Starcraft2 games ever , i hope you feel the same way.

About the Jinro vs IdrA match.
I think the disadvantage was huge, not only in the map pool and spawning spots (meta close p or shakura's horizontal p), but also in the metagame.
IdrA's worst enemy, at some point, is himself. Don't misunderstand me, I love IdrA and I hate how he did lose, I really wanted (very unrealistically tbh) him to be in the finals. But in one hand you have Jinro with some amazing practice partners (Zenio, Cezanne, etc.) and Ret (who knows pretty well IdrA's style)... also you have MC to support and cheer for you.
IdrA in the other hand doesn't really have any class S terran to practice (as far as I know). Artosis could coach him, and Tasteless could make some pretty cool jokes to cheer him up... but nothing is compared to have an amazing practice partners group.
That, and horrible maps and spawning spots (plus state of the zerg race), no surprisses with those results.

well since Jinro posted here i would like to ask him if he saw the games between MarineKing and Nada? And if yes. What was his thoughts about game 1 and 3? Did he saw any weakness in MK playstyle which he can abuse to get into finals? Such input would be much appreciated as well as his own analyse of Nada vs MK match.

No, I didnt let him in on purpose - but just because I think hes MAYBE 6 pooling me doesnt mean Im going to make a wall I would never ever make otherwise (tho to be honest, theres very little reason to NOT do it now that I think about it, might make it my new standard).
Anyhow, I think (not really sure?) the "oooooh" came at the point he pulled 6 drones not when he made the 6 pool so it was too late to make a full wall without "cheating" (and I still didnt know what he was doing for sure).

Thank you for this, I couldn't find it anywhere on the site.

Not sure if this was discussed but, do you guys think that MULE on shakuras was meant as a diss or miss clicking a scan? Ask yourself why would he scan there? Burrowed banelings maybe? Im hoping.. haha That's a bit ridiculous if you're honest with yourself haha...I mean it's not such a terribly bad thing, but Jinro even in his interview said Shakuras close was a terran map, was probably rubbing it in the Gracken's face. Why do you people not understand the concept of scanning for tumors? Could have been on purpose, my guess would be it was an accident but we'll hear from Jinro himself. Nazgul while I respect that opinion, Jinro had already scanned the exact same place he dropped that mule earlier on his initial push, and already killed the live creep tumors there. Also pressing "C" for scan is usually done with the pointer finger while "E" for mule is the middle finger, I'm not sure how he could have accidentally hit E and clicked there to scan for tumors he had already killed. I feel like this will get flooded out in this mass of pages =\ hope you can read this and possibly respond though. It survived with a few hitpoints (Im gonna check vod when I can to confirm), and yeah I have no idea how that happened hotkey wise. I accidently call down MULEs instead of scanning semi-occasionally during intense battles. I think it's just because I'm so used to calling down MULEs automatically that I instinctively press E instead of C. I'm not a pro though so I have an excuse Show nested quote +Gotta say though Jinro, you're by far my favorite Pro SC2 player right now. I liked the unexpected cheese. Jinro didn't cheese once, what are you on about?
It's not cheese in the traditional sense, but the 2 bunker wall off is annoying as all hell as a zerg player if they manage to get it off.

And MKP making the correct decision and having better control under pressure. The flip side is true. Right?

If he kept attacking your barracks, could he have killed it before the marine came out?

Im just saying that you could but you choose not to do it ,you seem very honest i believe you , walling in was an automatic win ! =)
good luck for the next games , train as hard as you can , because you can do it , i think TvT is your best matchup and its very possible to be TvT on the finals!

Still can't believe Nada went for a supply depot instead of a viking

Hopefully soon there will be a lull in the music mid game and a player will hear Artosis screaming SO MANY BANELINGS, and just gg out in fear .

I actually watched the Jungle Basin game about 4 times now and I can't hear any loud sound from the Korean commentators or the studio public during the beginning of the game (In the English stream/VOD you can always hear the Korean commentators + studio when they're loud)
If you watch the VOD you clearly hear that when the drones are pulled that there are more "ooooh" sound (at 1min 20 sec in the VOD).

One thing left to say really -- gogogo ZergBong! The last hope. Korean Terrans catching up to the Euro terrans when it comes to dominating their opponents.

Did Jinro understand what was being said or was it just the screaming that made him realize it was a 6pool? Any chance that players can actually make out what they say during the games? i tried to comment on several topics but it's funny because they all got locked in few minutes. i don't even care to talk about this specific case because i don't think it matters, i just want to talk about the soundproof booths but it seems it's not possible because strangely the mods are REALLY SENSIBLE to going "off topic" in that thread. my question is: if jinro heard the noise they were making with all their screaming "ohh ohhh" - what can korean players actually hear ? jinro does not speak korean so he doesn't understand their comments but what if players in the booth can actually hear comments about units or maybe build orders. i suspect if that's the case, none of them would even mention it during an interview. The best Korean players would speak up against it since they are not benefiting as much as the weaker players... Why would you say that? If anything the more info is out there the better it is for the good players because they can establish their skill advantage without any weird upsets happening.
That's exactly what he said.

I'm amazed at how much discussion there is re: noise in the booth. We know how loud the Korean commentary team gets even if only judging from hearing them in the background of Tastosis' broadcast. If GOM wants to call this an issue, they'd better reconfigure their set.
Props to you, Jinro, for not holding back what's really on your mind in the interviews.

Awts!! Baddd liquibet day! NaDa out makes me sad! But I like MKP too. Also IdrA out makes me a sad panda!! Im Terran and a Jinro supporter but today made me feel for IdrA and the swarm too...

I ain't going to watch 100's of VOD's just for this but they were a couple of matches I think when I was wondering if that crowd sound could be heard by the players. Marineking's all-ins during S2 finals might have been one of those....however players can't be blamed for this, the studio and tournament setup is what is is, if anyone has to be blamed for it, blame GOM (though I'm sure they do their best, you learn as you move forward). It's good that Jinro mentioned it (and it sucks for Idra), maybe they will try and improve this in the future. I wonder if anything can be done with the cabin setup as it is right now...a crowd reaction must be so loud that it's probably damn hard to make a small box entirelly soundproof (and can players view the crowd reacting too ?)....I even have read somewhere that a deaf person can "hear" an heavy object falling on the ground due to the vibrations it creates in the room where it happens...is it the same with a roaring crowd ? Would be interesting to have a sound engineer's opinion about this....

i thought the new patch stopped two bunkers from blocking a ramp. I guess not.
