You usually cant hear anything more specific than the "OOOOOOh"s, but I think there was a lul in the music (like switching tracks or something). I dont really remember too specifically, but I know you dont hear them most of the time.

Anyone who says idra wins 3-1 better go wake up. To win 3-1 idra would have to beat jinro on jungle basin. If idra is going to win then he will win either 3-0 or 3-2. But if jinro wins 1 or 2 of the fist 3 games idra would have very little chance.

I am very disappointed in all the games today. Nada didn't bust out his blue flame hellion strategy to own MKP, 3 quick all-in cheeses, and only 1 really exciting macro game. =(

i tried to comment on several topics but it's funny because they all got locked in few minutes.
i don't even care to talk about this specific case because i don't think it matters, i just want to talk about the soundproof booths but it seems it's not possible because strangely the mods are REALLY SENSIBLE to going "off topic" in that thread.
my question is: if jinro heard the noise they were making with all their screaming "ohh ohhh" - what can korean players actually hear ? jinro does not speak korean so he doesn't understand their comments but what if players in the booth can actually hear comments about units or maybe build orders. i suspect if that's the case, none of them would even mention it during an interview.

I still think that goes to Leenock/NaDa or Leenock/Clide (huge platonic man-crush on Leenock), but I think it's easily the best 3-0, and probably the best TvT series I've seen. Foxer is so awesome. Are you forgetting Foxer/Kyrix? The last game on Zel Naga? The Marine splitting that permanently changed the game?
MVP was the first to do it in the GSL.

Idra, if you're reading this thread, I'm glad you six pooled. It didn't work out for you this time, but I hope in the future you keep mixing it up with more aggressive builds.

The best Korean players would speak up against it since they are not benefiting as much as the weaker players...

Idra doesn't have a problem with "more aggressive builds", it's just that he, rightly, considers zerg aggressive builds very weak. I'm sure as a toss he would, for instance, 4gate.

Not sure if this was discussed but, do you guys think that MULE on shakuras was meant as a diss or miss clicking a scan? Ask yourself why would he scan there? Burrowed banelings maybe? Im hoping.. haha That's a bit ridiculous if you're honest with yourself haha...I mean it's not such a terribly bad thing, but Jinro even in his interview said Shakuras close was a terran map, was probably rubbing it in the Gracken's face. Why do you people not understand the concept of scanning for tumors? Could have been on purpose, my guess would be it was an accident but we'll hear from Jinro himself. Nazgul while I respect that opinion, Jinro had already scanned the exact same place he dropped that mule earlier on his initial push, and already killed the live creep tumors there. Also pressing "C" for scan is usually done with the pointer finger while "E" for mule is the middle finger, I'm not sure how he could have accidentally hit E and clicked there to scan for tumors he had already killed. I feel like this will get flooded out in this mass of pages =\ hope you can read this and possibly respond though.
erm using mules instead of scans happens even if it's not that close, it happened to me a couple times too to mix those hotkeys up, I clearly understood it was a missed hotkey when it happened but it seemed koreans were more for the manner mule theory :D

True, but it was Foxer who took away the fear of the Baneling Bust. There was a lot of screaming about Banelings OP until that match.

There is a response in that thread by a GOMtv staff. He says something along the lines of:
"We did notice that this (soundproofing) issue can present problems and we are planning on adding more soundproof curtains and have players use earsets+headsets that completely cover their ears.
We had not been using this earset+headset combination until now because players felt uncomfortable wearing them. There was a speaker behind Jonathan's booth and I believe that allowed Jonathan to hear some of our commentators. However, there was no appeal during the game and there is no clear evidence that Jonathan was able to defend against the 6pool only because he knew that it was coming, so we cannot have a rematch between the two players. Sorry again for the problems."
To put it short, there won't be a rematch.

... yes.
STILL a huge fan of the Leenock/MacroT games.

The match on Jungle basin was nerve gracking.

Congrats to Jinro! In addition, good to see oGsMC show up in the booth after to congratulate Jinro particularly after so many people were trash talking him following their earlier series. If that doesn't show good sportsmanship/team building, I don't know what does .

yes, that's exactly what I think.
i mean, imagine if they heard something about a drop. maybe a blue-flame hellion drop that fails so one player is immediately behind.. or something like that.
in this jinro-idra case it really does not matter... as jinro said, he scouted which is even worst against the 6pool BUT i think that they should pay a lot of attention to the soundproof factor as it may be game-changing.
i don't want to exaggerate saying that it already changed some games or anything like that, but the GSL has to be the most professional example of e-sports possible and if something like that happens, they have to take serious action to make sure that the players can't hear ANYTHING. basically, nothing outside of the booth should influence the games being played.
my 2 cents

Yep. Now all he has to do is control the 'rage' and not the other way around and he may actually go pretty far. He shouldn't have quit so early in game 2 - for whatever reason. FD and Nestea would have at least still tried to defend that.

Grats to Jinro.
4 out of 4 Terrans in Code A.
3 out of 4 Terrans in Code S.
T___T
One thing left to say really -- gogogo ZergBong! The last hope.
