To see EG's SC2 division do this is pretty cool since few RTS players do it. The reason is because CS teams primarily do it since it is a team game, so having all 5 players present is much better than practicing online.
Yeah, I'd been surprised no one had really been doing this before going to a major LAN. It makes a lot of sense (and it's a sign the house won't be ready next week, LOL, but they're supposedly moving into the main house after MLG), especially for DeMuslim, as he'll be time adjusted.
I'm going to take a hot guess they're driving over from AZ rather than flying, so I imagine most of the normal travel budget was actually available to do something like this. They're putting the guys up for a few extra days + food, so there is that cost, but I imagine the since the LAN is being sponsored by some of the companies EG works with, some of those costs got defrayed, or at least the daily cost of the LAN. Actually, that's probably going to be a solid draw for the LAN center, plus ensuring a bunch of Pros being there.
All told, MLG Anaheim is looking to be insane in the Pool Play this time around. *Everyone* is stepping up their game. For as much as the "Korean Invasion" has been pretty fun, it's also really obvious that the Koreans are perfectly beatable, it's just a matter of putting in the work and training the responses.

Damn, I thought they were actually setting up a EG house to practice at for an extended period of time. I hope the week will help either way
|
I'm curious how this is going to be organized. Will there be a coach or organizer that is setting up a training regimen or are the players still responsible for their own time and how much they want to play. Will their practice be more directed i.e. more specific scrims, replay watching, or will it just be free form practicing as usual? Will they be required to practice at the bootcamp for certain hours of the day or can they stop if they think they have done enough for the day?
I'm just curious how close this training will get to how the Koreans train. It seems that method yields biggest results.
I'm a huge EG fanboi. That's my team. I root for you guys. Stomp some nerds.

Was disappointed to see that iNcontroL was going to quit casting NASL and focus more on playing, but seeing this is really proof that him+everyone else in EG is going to start kicking more ass in LANs.

They are, back in AZ, but apparently it's not up yet. Incontrol mentioned he was moving in with Machine & Idra after NASL, but the house wouldn't be up & functional until after MLG? I think that was it.

They've been working out. They're probably running on a treadmill while playing SC2, etc. Squats while playing. Unfortunately they're all cheesing a lot more because of it.

The second half of the MLG season should be more your thing then.

eg showing how serious their training is by taking a few days out to do a fan meet and greet at the worst possible time.
well that lasted about 1 day

This can't be bad! Hopefully this will result in EG players doing rly well!
Long time since I saw something from LZgamer...

Can you not read?
They are training, allowing a few fans to visit won't change that.
God forbid they take a 30 minute break.

DUDE! Morgan, I am sooooo jealous of you! Looks like I may have to come back and visit the LAN again!

its not called a break if you havent even started yet when you take it.
they are going to some low level local lan to show off how much they can beat people who only play for fun, that wont help them beat koreans at mlg will it?
