Good on you for helping out the UK SC2 community!
London: 600k for a 2 bed flat above a shop Plymouth 450k for a 5 bedroom house with a pool and an acre of land.
There's no real contest there
With events coming to Plymouth, and London being a couple of hours on the train for anything else. the location feels good, accessible. :D

London isn't central, I think he was referring to somewhere in the midlands.

Great initiative. Sadly i'm too shit and my girlfriend wouldn't be too happy, but i'd definitely like to come visit and have a look around for ESFI when you get settled.

London is central really. All transport links go to London, so often it's closer time-wise to many places, even if it's further distance-wise.

Pretty much, for all real intents and purposes london is central. But the premium you pay for that is quite frankly ridiculous, for some very specific things its worth it, but the rough 4x pricing increase doesn't bestow that many, if any benefits to something like this.

I've said to others "lost count at 50" - Not everyone interested is viable tho ofc But there's a healthy pool to draw from.

This look's awesome, well played for doing this, sounds like a nice place aswell, you'll have to post pics or give us an artosislike video tour.
I agree that london is way to expensive, its easy for the person who's not paying to look at it like that xD
Looking forward to seeing some of these players make it big! Someone should do a blog on how things are going to hype players aswell, would be a shame if people just forgot this was happening, sc in the uk has needed something like this for a long time.

Sure video of the moving in will most likely be done, setting up everything etc. When the list is final We'll see about some documentation and updates on progress
And your so right, it's very easy for people not involved to say "oh you should just do x" when they've got no actual first hand experience of something like this, haven't done any of the figures, haven't spent days looking round various areas, and haven't spent every waking hour sorting through everything . Let alone really acknowledging the financial risk side of things. Alas, all in good spirits anyway Nice to see all the support
One step at a time though, no rush

Would be awesome to get in on this, but sadly only diamond and have some RL commitments at the moment, maybe in future however!

Hmmm give up job to play Starcraft all day. Damn it's tempting :p
It would be fun to get involved though. Maybe you could host a tournament or something once you get set-up so people have an excuse to look round xD
Also, have you got any coaches lined up? It tends to be true that the best players aren't the best coaches.

Very, very nice idea.
One quick question, is the house open for people from outside the UK?

Yes, 1 player is from Greece, you just have to have good english, and ofc be able to afford the travel as well.
I think he got flights for 60 euros.. very cheap .
Ofc you'd also have to be the correct level of skill and get on with everyone add me on skype.

Well it should also be noted Plymouth is cold and damp being right next to the sea.
And london you can easily get a 3 bedroom house with garden, kitchen, full size bathroom for well under 300k(I should know I helped to buy extra 2 recently) Zone 4. if you want to go Central central you'll pay out of your arse. But i'm only 25min from victoria or london bridge so I dunno how central ppl 'need' to be.
