this changes immediatly when they turn 18.

Hmm may have no job soon. what a great idea xD

Is this actually happening? Haven't heard much since the drama.

MMM that eleven guy hasn't posted anything since August 24th, guess he has just disappeared. I can't imagine how pissed the players involved must feel, what a time waste. Guess people were right in saying it was going to flop.
People say that doing stuff like this doesn't hurt esports but when people start off doing something and then just stop half way through they actually do hurt esports, wish people would just not get involved if they don't have a clue about what they are doing.

Let's not jump to conclusions, it could be going really well xD

What was 'the drama'? I saw Eleaven banned but wasn't able to tell why.

Sounds awesome! Best of luck to you and I will try and contact you if I make it to masters!! “Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today.”- James Dean

I said it wouldn't work and that it was a terrible idea, happy clappers jumped and said that i wanted sc2 to fail in the UK.
This is the reason i said it shouldn't have happened, Sombrero is right the UK will now look like a joke because of fools who have their heads up their ass.

Guessing by the fact Eleaven hasn't been on skype in over 2 months I would say it definitely is not happening anymore. But I am still glad someone at least tried, rather than sitting on a forum putting people down for attempting to do good for the UK scene.
And how does the UK look like a joke? We have a couple of people in the UK that anyone anywhere actually cares about, other than them the UK scene doesn't look like anything...
At least if we all adopted your attitude the UK scene would grow, right?

didnt sound like he tried all that hard tbh, i can put up a post saying
"want to start a gaming house in my tool shed, anyone can come because im shady as hell, i have cookies"
i guess if i do that at least i have tried and im a good guy yeah?
You tell me, is the UK scene better off or worse off because of this thread? If you adopted my attitude you would get active in the scene and do something to help progress it. Me stating what i did was a realistic view and if you dont want to read realistic posts dont read the internet, go back to nursery and listen to fairy tales.

Its like this, if your car is not working very well but its getting you by and you want to make some changes to it, do you a.) get someone who doesn't know what they are doing to do the work, give it there best shot but ultimately fail, or b.) get someone who knows what they are doing to perform the work.
If you are setting up a UK SC2 house, it makes sense that someone who is established in eSports and has contact to sponors and relevant people organises it. I commend the effort, but if you aren't going to finish what you start, don't start at all; it makes the community take one step foward, two steps back.

Nothing wrong with being realistic, doesn't mean it's pessimistic. There's nothing worse than false promises, even if there are good intentions.

how on earth does this hurt esports by this not working out? It doesnt effect it at all, making a big deal out of it etc.. in the end they tried to do something that would of been great for esports and it didnt work out. big deal, I commend them at least trying, but circumstances change.
Do think it was always going to run into trouble without it being a team adventure and a bunch of people who only knew each other from what they were tlaking about on skype. If they had known each other for months then it very well may of worked out.

It hinders all future efforts of setting something like this up in the UK, people will be more reluctant to be part of a house because the only previous effort is this failure.

Sheep just dominated the thread, it can now be closed

well it cant get any worse, only way is up!!!
Plus its not liek anyone even moved in? Or people had paid first month rent and its all fallen through.
I agree someone who is well known in the community would probably of made it work if they had the idea but its not like the guy took their money and fleeced them. It just hasnt worked out.
The majority of ideas always go down the drain.
