UK Sc2 Has been bubbling quietly for a long time now, never really making any breakthroughs. Right now there is a feeling going around that there's a lot of “almost there” players, looking for an opportunity to live Sc2.
For a few lucky people, this may just be that chance!
As of yet there is no date set, once a group of like minded individuals has been built, we will set a definite move in date that will accommodate the entire group fairly
September 1st is Looking to be the unofficial move in date so far, between the group that's already established. This will coincide with the end of MLG Raleigh
Possibly You!, Leave a comment in this thread if you are 18+ of Masters or higher skill level, and want to commit to playing sc2 for the foreseeable future.
If you aren't masters level yet, you've probably got a good month or 2 to buck up, or strap down.. and improve
Quite simple really. Property prices here are very low, and compared to the more major cities such as London, the price of living is extremely low. Between 4 people, the cost could be as low as 1 afternoon of work per person.
Plymouth!
There are quite a few properties we have our eye on at the moment, once the group is formed, we can discuss price/space much more clearly. The Property will be located within a 10 minute walk of the main train-station. You can travel the country in one afternoon on the train for as little as £20 if tickets are booked early enough.
A full highstreet/shopping centre, restaurant district and all the pubs/clubs/bars you could dream of will be located within 5-10 mins walk, all on a nice waterfront
- Get in touch for a more detailed breakdown, however assume an average cost of £50/week.
if £10 either way is going to make or break your decision, you probably need to think about something else
There's some very reasonable property available, which, when split between us all would come to roughly £40/week, and then there's larger much nicer property which would bring the costs to £50-55 possibly 60.
Once a reliable final group has been decided, we will budget according to the group.
For the love of the game, the time feels right, the opportunity is presented to us. Now is the time to take it!
My thread on a shared office space for Plymouth locals spurred me into action after receiving a great amount of interest [http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=235554¤tpage=4 ]
Once the group is assembled, There is more than likely going to be a long weekend of sc2 hosted at my abode. So we can meet, see how we get along after a few beers and a bbq and discuss everything in person before fully committing.
If you like the idea, but don't have the money, and feel unsafe about committing, I'd be more than happy to Have the right person come and stay for a week or so, to get a chance to see the area, and have a look for part time work (of which there is a LOT going round atm!)

little update
-----
Due to the pretty intense level of interest so far, I'll update a bit about what i/we are looking for
Each slot in the house has an Associated value assigned to it, which is a combination of various criteria:
Personality - being personable, and in general easy going, respectful -has high value
Skill - Arguably the most important aspect towards Value, However if one person had enough of a "problem" in terms of group cohesion, then its very possible that the negative value they put on the other players, isn't worth their skill contribution
Ability to Commit - Players who can commit for longer time frame will add value to their slot in the house, as a result these players will receive higher priority come decision time.
So when contacting me just consider these simple things a bit, chances are if you know your a bit of an arse, its going to harm your chances :D:D
